The story of GOAT Mug

GOAT STORY was inspired by the greatest discovery of all time – coffee! It was back in 13th century that a flock of goats stumbled upon a bush of berries that made them go loco! Their obviously bored and adventure seeking shepherd decided to brew the berries – and thank goats he did!

Fast forward to the 21st century: that’s when we kick in. We decided to revolutionize coffee drinking and designed a one-of-a-kind coffee mug – THE GOAT Mug.

Funded on Kickstarter, this coffee mug is the perfect coffee companion for the urban warrior and an amazing conversation starter! The shape is also ergonomic and lets you drink the last sip of your coffee due to its incline. Some of you might remember that the YouTubers iDubbbz made a review about this thing calling it trash.

Honestly speaking, that is simply not the case. The Mug works as expected- although drinks won't stay too warm or cold as it isn't intended to be a Thermos. That being said, if you intend on drinking whatever you're going to either at room temperature or within an hour or so of putting it in the Mug, it should work fine.

I happen to work at a Castle, so I find the mug to be particularly aesthetically pleasing.
I have brought it around town before and I've only heard positives about how they thought it was funny.

Would recommend, if you're interested.

I got this as a Christmas present from a friend. While I enjoy the concept and odd shape of the mug, it is not as good at its job as several other products on the market. On its first use, I attached my strap to my belt loop, and I liked the hands-free ability it gave me as I strode to my truck for work. I laid it down in my passenger seat, because there really isn't a good way to stand the thing up, especially if your cupholders don't fit the stand/grip. When I got to work, I noticed a bit of coffee on top, so I took a closer look and realized the lid had leaked like crazy. Not the top part that snaps shut, the actual lid itself leaked right out of the seam, all over the cover and my passenger seat. On top of that, my coffee was near cold, not even lukewarm (my commute is 45 minutes).

PROS
- Odd shape invites questions and looks, good conversation starter.
- Hands free strap is convenient if you find yourself walking around a lot.
- A super fun idea for anyone going to a Renaissance Festival.

CONS
- Leaks from the lid (personal experience, could just be mine)
- Odd shape disallows use in some traditional cup holders.
- Doesn't maintain temperature well at all.
- Without the cover, the exterior gets very hot....so always use the cover!
- Lay on its side at your own risk.

Firstly, I wish the hemp version came in a 16 ounce. I am not a fan of real or faux leather and im loving the hemp color combo.
Pros:
Mine does not leak and I dropped it twice... lol butter fingers
I think it's super comfy to hold and the lip is comfy to sip out of s well
Easy to clean
Straps
It looks so cool!
Cons:
Sometimes the sleeve slides off
When the larger strap is on, you cannot use the sleeve as a stand lmao
The clasps for the straps are a pain in the butt to use
I get made fun of...

That said, the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion and if Goat Story ends up making a 16 ounce size in hemp, I'm there!
