At first I thought I might not have all the cards as they weren't in order like most decks. Don't be put off by that. After putting them in order, they were all there.
The card stock seems fine.
The colors aren't quite as bright, but the printing quality was fine. Matt finishes generally aren't as bright.
I chose this deck for the price, but with some reservation. However, I'm satisfied with that decision. The quality is good and will perfectly suit my needs for a field work deck. Even the plastic container is a bonus for protection- a plus after I had a bottle of contioner fall over and leak all over some boxed decks of cards.
I look forward to using this deck in my work.
Believer or not, I've been looking for an inexpensive printing of the Rider-Waite Tarot deck (AKA the Rider deck, AKA the Rider-Waite-Smith deck) ever since I was ten and saw an illustration of the Magician Card in the Whole Earth Catalog, which was what we called Amazon before there was a World Wide Web. That was a while ago, and what prompted me to finally get these was the price: as of this writing, this is one of the least expensive decks available.
These cards are fully (and in some cases, brightly) colored, and have the glossy coat you would expect in card decks from US Games. The work was originally done by Pamela Colman-Smith under the direction of Arthur Waite, a member and eventual Grand Master of the mystic society known as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Waite described, usually in painstaking detail, how each card should appear so that Ms. Colman-Smith could realize the vision in ink.
The images themselves have an Art Deco aesthetic, as befits illustrations from the early 20th century. The degree of detail, and to some extent the quality, of the line drawings varies, especially between the Major and Minor Arcana. But most of them hint at a portentous event that has either recently occurred, or which looms over the peasants and nobility who populate the deck.
The back of the card has Pamela Colman-Smith's monogram in two corners, and the White Rose (of York?) from the banner on the Death card. The petals tilt slightly to one side so you can tell if the card is upside-down or not. To some people, this is important, and you can flip them lengthwise or side-over-side to select the orientation, depending on how you feel about reversed cards.
Oddly enough, the deck contains two cards which seem to be miscellaneous illustrations by Ms. Smith. They depict domestic Victorian/Edwardian situations and are included, I presume, because 80 cards are, for some reason, easier to deal with than 78.
If you are interested in the Tarot for any reason and don't already have a deck, the Rider-Waite-Smith set is widely-recognized and respected. And this particular printing won't cost a fortune to pick up.

This was my first review "It's a standard RiderWaite deck for tarot reading. The small booklet is ridiculously small. I bought another book called The Ultimate Guide to the RiderWaite Tarot."
Once the seller read my review, I was provided with a PDF file of the booklet. It is so much easier to read.
