About the author
G.R. Loreweaver brings to life worlds filled with PNR menage and lots of delicious twists.
When she isn’t creating characters that we love--only to be mean to them--she likes to spend her time watching movies or playing video games. She adores all things purple and can usually be found spending time with her amazing husband and crazy kids, most likely with her toes in the grass.

Calliope is determined to help the kingdom and marry a prince from a neighboring kingdom to help her kingdom financially. Beau is very free with his favors towards any available female in the castle. When he tries to give Calie a taste, he's sloppy and proves to have a tiny member. He does nothing for her.
Meanwhile, she has feelings for her tutor Quin, who returns her feelings but hides them.
This story is very well told, and the small little twists that are thrown in have you turning the pages. There's some spice, and the deceit that happens throws a nice twist at the end that introduced Ash. We are now left to wait to find out how this story will end.
But this is so worth it!
The characterization throughout this book is strong and distinct, with each POV having its own tone.
I really liked Calli, she was refreshing and still relatable where she needed to be.
I also very much loved Quinn!
The attraction between them makes it so easy to root for them.
Another of my favorite things is the secondary romance in this book.
That's not something I see very often and I felt it was very nicely done. The secondary couple (I won't spoil it!) is extremely charming and I loved them immediately.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to read book two!
There is spice abound in here and for the most part, it’s done pretty well and makes sense for the characters engaging in it. It seems a bit much though, even given the title. It felt a bit like the plot was just a thin string to loop them together.
The pacing is way too fast. I barely had time to register an event before the next one was occurring. We get three couples established in just a few chapters but I only really felt like I knew one of them. Near the end, someone just pops in out of nowhere with no build up or hint to their existence!
The book is a duology but honestly, given it’s short length, I think it would have worked better as one book.
The characters are good though. I enjoy Calli and Quinn. I enjoy the king. I enjoy the side servants and characters. I just think they need to be in a longer and slowed down plot.
Got a little bit of everything: arranged marriage, spice, friends to lovers, mm, royalty, betrayal, curses and murder.
It leaves off on a cliffhanger, but there’s a lot of promise to the next story!
I was hooked from the start and cannot wait for the rest of the story.

Follow the story of our heroine in the lead up to her wedding to the utterly useless Prince she is set to marry. While her heart belongs to another, she still vows to do her duty. Until something happens that could change everything.
This is part 1 of a duo and ends on a cliffhanger. I devoured this book and for good reason. The characters are funny and relatable and its so easy to fall in love with them. May have yelled out loud at their choices and omg why do main characters do the right thing for duty instead of following their hearts.
11/10 for this book. You won't regret reading it!
