Great story
I loved it. Calliope is a princess. Her kingdom is in trouble. She takes it upon herself to fix it. She is going to marry Beau. It will form an alliance between their kingdoms. Calliope finds Beau lacking in the romance department. He’s a flirt but doesn’t have much to work with others you know what I mean. Then there’s Quinn her best friend. Who she secretly loves. There is a curse and murder. Will Calliope marry Beau? Will the curse be lifted? Who gets murdered? Read the book to find out what happens to princess Calliope.

I loved this tale. It shows that we should let our hearts speak and be free. We shouldn't bind ourselves to someone out of duty and a life of misery.
Calliope is determined to help the kingdom and marry a prince from a neighboring kingdom to help her kingdom financially. Beau is very free with his favors towards any available female in the castle. When he tries to give Calie a taste, he's sloppy and proves to have a tiny member. He does nothing for her.
Meanwhile, she has feelings for her tutor Quin, who returns her feelings but hides them.
This story is very well told, and the small little twists that are thrown in have you turning the pages. There's some spice, and the deceit that happens throws a nice twist at the end that introduced Ash. We are now left to wait to find out how this story will end.

Filled with humor and longing. Cute story. There is however a cliffhanger ending so to find this tales end you'll have to keep reading.

I don't read a whole lot of duets / duologies, mostly because I'm not a big fan of the requisite cliffhanger. In theory.
But this is so worth it!

The characterization throughout this book is strong and distinct, with each POV having its own tone.
I really liked Calli, she was refreshing and still relatable where she needed to be.
I also very much loved Quinn!
The attraction between them makes it so easy to root for them.

Another of my favorite things is the secondary romance in this book.
That's not something I see very often and I felt it was very nicely done. The secondary couple (I won't spoil it!) is extremely charming and I loved them immediately.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to read book two!

Okay, I think the best word to describe this book is odd. Not in a bad way but not necessarily a good one either. The tone jolts back and forth so often that I’m not sure what the author was going for.

There is spice abound in here and for the most part, it’s done pretty well and makes sense for the characters engaging in it. It seems a bit much though, even given the title. It felt a bit like the plot was just a thin string to loop them together.

The pacing is way too fast. I barely had time to register an event before the next one was occurring. We get three couples established in just a few chapters but I only really felt like I knew one of them. Near the end, someone just pops in out of nowhere with no build up or hint to their existence!

The book is a duology but honestly, given it’s short length, I think it would have worked better as one book.

The characters are good though. I enjoy Calli and Quinn. I enjoy the king. I enjoy the side servants and characters. I just think they need to be in a longer and slowed down plot.

This book was so very interesting. I had a few laughs with the way calliope felt over her betrothed. This story was very fun to read with all the snark and even the deceit. Which is clearly evident if you read the book. I was so happy for the king and his nudge that he was giving calliope . Of course something awful occurred and that’s how the story ‘s cliffhanger is and now I must anxiously await for the next book in this awesome duet.

I really enjoyed the twists and turns this took at the end of the story and the set up to a fun dynamic between Calli, Quinn and Ash.
Got a little bit of everything: arranged marriage, spice, friends to lovers, mm, royalty, betrayal, curses and murder.
It leaves off on a cliffhanger, but there’s a lot of promise to the next story!

This is a quick read about Calliope, who is a princess that wants to save her kingdom. She is going to marry Beau, who's family has the funds to save her kingdom. When she meets him though she's less than pleased with him. Her heart hurts for what she really wants and she needs to figure out what to do.
I was hooked from the start and cannot wait for the rest of the story.

This was a short first book, which I got for free and turned out better than I thought it would. It does end on a cliffhanger, but just enough one to let you know there is a book 2, which is already available. This is a fun little fantasy that I'm enjoying very much. On to book 2 now

Utterly LOVED this book. Could not put it down.

Follow the story of our heroine in the lead up to her wedding to the utterly useless Prince she is set to marry. While her heart belongs to another, she still vows to do her duty. Until something happens that could change everything.

This is part 1 of a duo and ends on a cliffhanger. I devoured this book and for good reason. The characters are funny and relatable and its so easy to fall in love with them. May have yelled out loud at their choices and omg why do main characters do the right thing for duty instead of following their hearts.

11/10 for this book. You won't regret reading it!
