Shirley Karr’s love of all things Regency began in childhood, when her father’s Air Force career took the family to England for four years. I couldn't put this book down! That was for two nights in a row. I loved that the characters had arcs they changed and grew in relatable ways facing relatable fears. So many romance characters are missing that and it leaves the story feeling flat. This story is perceptive, the dialogue will leave you smiling. I'm so glad that there are more books in the series.

She falls in love with Sinclair, but doesn't want to involve him in a scandal and leaves him. Later both of them get married n realise that they don't need the approval of society and can live their own lives while still living in it and need not change themselves.
