I love when a book turns out to be more than I expected. I could tell in the first chapter I had a jewel. Khloe and Griffin's sister have been best friends nearly all their lives. Griffin did something to hurt Khloe's feeling when she was fifteen and they have been enemies since then. When Griffin tells an obnoxious co worker she is his girlfriend it starts a chain of events that just keep building. Proximity made them get to know each other and discover there are some misconceptions in their past history. I love how their relationship changes and they grow as individuals as well. Other characters were fleshed out and contributed much to the storyline.

I fully enjoyed reading this and getting to know Griffin and Khloe and their journey to a happily ever after.

Ok usually I love these authors writing this one I found for me to be a bit lacking compared to all the other books I have read by them. I really liked the storyline and it was well written. I just found that I could not get the characters where I wanted them in my mind to come to the conclusion that they were likable. I really wanted to wrap them up and enjoy their journey but I found that both were lacking. This is the first story by these authors that did not like and the fact that I can and do like enemies to lover stories this one was a bit gregarious and the lying was just flat out ridiculous. The writing within was good. I will continue to follow these authors and their works although this one story will not be on my to reread shelf as the others. Maybe in the future I might revisit.

I liked the premise. I’m just so tired of writers making sure the h is a virgin but, the H doesn’t have to be and his past lovers are always around .
This never seems to be a factor for the h. Maybe it’s just me but, I’d have a problem with constantly running into someone my husband has slept with.

Another good story about believable and likable characters. I have enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to reading more.

Okay. Off the bat - tell me the author doesn’t have cats without telling me the author doesn’t have cats. Lillies are toxic to cats so even bringing them in the house would be likely to kill them let alone a kitten playing with the flower itself! I also think that the storyline was rushed and there should have been more development in certain areas. I felt like I had whiplash when reading and would often go back a page thinking I missed something - nope. The author just didn’t seem to finish a thought. Cute story, but missed opportunities for sure!

This is a nice love story. Griffin and Khloe can’t stand each other but he inadvertently tells his boss that she is his girlfriend/fiancee. They have their ups and downs but there is not a lot of conflict in this tale. My favorite parts of the book have nothing to do with the MC’s but rather her kittens who really steal the show.
This is a good book to read when you don’t want to stress out too much.

"Faking It" by Authors J. Haney & S. I. Hayes

My Speculation:

Be ready for plenty of twists and turns and an emotional, well-written, and somewhat believable story that will catch one's imagination. The title says it all...what will happen from a fake relationship? What will happen when things change?

Griffin and Khloe's characters felt real that will keep one's interest throughout the novel, giving the reader a heartwarming and sweet love story. One other thing that can be said about "Faking It" is that 'love conquers all' for these two Griffin and Khloe.'

3.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't warm to it

So this had the bones of a great storyline I just think the execution was odd and a bit off the mark. I've read so many fake fiance books and this is not my favourite. I just thought the dynamic between Griff and Khloe was weird, like she forgave him at the drop of a hat and he suddenly was in love with her after not wanting a relationship. Their families just topped off this odd feel for me, convos felt to far fetched and ridiculous tbh! I get the feeling the authors were trying to get a vibe across about the South with religious to the extreme and family values but I don't think it did it just made me want to punch them all at their stupidity! I actually loved Glen tbh he was funny and witty but played such a small role you didn't get much throughout of him. I would try again with this author pairing but I was left disappointed by this book.
