This was my first Jenna Jacob book, but it certainly will not be my last. I love rock star books and this novel for sure lived up to being a rock star novel. The chemistry between Burk and Sofia was something to be jealous of. Everyone deserves a love like they have. The spice, the ups and downs and even the story make this story worthwhile to read. So looking forward to the next chapter. READ THIS BOOK.

I don't usually read rock star romance but if Jenna Jacob writes it, I will read it. The group of characters she's created for the Licks of Leathers series are raunchy, irreverent, boisterous and funny. I look forward to reading each one of the stories. I also loved that Jenna pulls in familiar characters from the Doms of Genesis series. Gotta love that!

First up, Burk Jennings, the dynamic front man for Licks of Leather. He is talented, intense and sexy. He's also a man at a crossroads, on the cusp of making a life altering decision. There's got to be something more and that something more may be Sofia Jackson. Sent in to wrangle this untamed group of rockers, Sofia is organized, driven and focused. She's also beautiful and has an underlying vulnerability about her. She's everything Burk never knew he wanted. Their chemistry is undeniable but aligning their lives and goals may be impossible.

I really did enjoy this book, actually but there were just a few too many things that irritated me to rate it higher.
In the interest of avoiding spoilers, I’ll be vague.
I feel like Burk’s character lacked some depth. Yes, he had his internal battle/struggle, but it felt a bit hollow.
The conflicts felt unnecessarily drawn out & the resolutions were often lacking.—The “reliable source” conflict was really drawn out, and it seemed intensely obvious who it was, although I’ll admit that I had a different suspicion as to how that information was obtained by that source. The back & forth between the two main characters was pretty ridiculous too.—Did they trust & forgive each other or not? It felt like they flip-flopped on that a half dozen times each!
I also felt like the solution to their conflict as a couple was so obvious & I can’t help but be annoyed to death that it didn’t conclude that way. Maybe it’ll happen in the next book, because there’s clearly a solution which doesn’t require either of them to sacrifice their careers OR their relationship. Ugh!

This story was pretty good and almost read it in one day. Burk is the lead singer of Licks of Leather and he’s handsome and sexy. He’s been crazy about Sofia since she walked onto their tour bus as their manager/babysitter. These guys are wild and keeping them in check has been quite a job and Sofia has had a hard time because she’s crazy for Burk too. He’s kept away because he thought she was engaged and when he discovered that engagement was no more, he went right after her full speed ahead. This story was sexy and romantic and I loved both characters and every single band member. I can’t wait to read about Darren next. I recommend this book highly.

This story is amazing! I bought the first three books in this series as I was curious how someone would portray a rock 'n roll band. The depth of the lead singer, brought out by this author, was perfect background for famous rockers. For him to find a special person amid all the chaos surrounding his life is truly an accomplishment.

When a rumor starts involving a member of the band, these men, with the help of their manager, show us just what brotherhood stands for. This was a first read for me by this author, and I recently completed my purchase of this series. Jenna Jacob possesses a true talent and blesses us with her words.

I had such hopes for this book, and series. This book left me feeling blah. From Burk going from bedding every woman going to all of a sudden loving totally and completely Sophia, and then we spent the rest of the book listening to her wine about his love.
I can’t recommend this book and I am not wasting anymore money hoping the other books get better.

Once you get past the first few chapters where Burke isn’t likeable as half dom and half manslut, there’s actually quite a good romance\storyline. An abrupt finish that could have addressed the outcome with Dan and what Sofia does with her future time.
