I thoroughly enjoyed the characters. Each one has something special and important to make this story complete. Belle just can't seem to catch a break until she meet the trio of vampires that changes everything for her. I laughed when appropriate and squirmed right along with Belle when things became heated. And yes, even the storyline has me coming back for book 2. It has a lot of qualities I need when looking to be entertained. I can honestly recommend it.

The RH is not graphic or over-the-top, but does happen fast, as is often the case in RH stories. Warning: the book ends on a total cliff hanger, but you will enjoy the story and characters all the way up to that point.

I was able to relate to the characters very easy and picture everything perfectly in my mind that happened in the book. This book had the perfect amout of detail, action, and steamy scenes.

From vampires, to a slayer, and demons, and something also much more sinister that we are yet to find out exactly what it is; this book left me ready to get a taste of the next book in the series.

VAMPIRES DON’T GIVE HICKEYS is the first book in the Slayer’s Reverse Harem series. They will need to be read in the order of release.

Anytime someone says “slayer,” we all immediately compare to Buffy. There is no comparison. There is no Angel, Spike, or any of the rest of the Scooby gang. Instead, there are three hot, hunky, undead men who are devoted to Belle before she is introduced to them. Eddie, Jacek, and Sawyer are Belle’s harem of hotties and each is uniquely able to help Belle in her duties as the slayer and to grow as a person.

I like that it was a short story, but not rushed. I loved that there were touches of humor to keep it being as dark as the graveyard. Finally, one of the main things that I like is that the story (and Belle) didn’t immediately fall into a foursome. Instead, she – and we – gets to know all three of the new men in her life as individuals and as more than just their fangs.

This is the first I have read from this author, but I would love to read her other series. I’ll be diving into book two of this series this week!

Narration: I think I’ve found a new favorite! She does a beautiful job of creating a scene in the mind whether it is suspense, lust, humor, intensity, or anything in between.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

What a completely fun, funny and frolicking fantastic storyline and characters with some seriously steamy sizzles too!

I tripped over the first book through The Fussy Libraries emails. At 10% in, I looked to see if there were more from this author and discovered the series which was available through Kindle Unlimited. I ended up purchasing the series so I had them for my own. Loved it to bits from start to finish and be sure to get the 6th which is ridiculously not linked with the other 5 in Amazon’s “see the series” system.

I loved this book! My absolute favorite thing is when i find a book or an author who's writing is truly funny. Not just enough to make me chuckle once or twice, but to make me laugh out loud and laugh hard throughout the book. Vampires Don't Give Hickeys has definitely accomplished that! Holly Ryan managed to write characters that are funny and relatable, sexy and sweet, all at once. I fell in love with Belle's vamps so quickly! Makes a girl wish she had her own harem of beautifully damaged vampires all to herself. I cant wait to read book #2, especially after that lil teaser they left at the end. This is totally a must read! Lots of sexy times in this, it's definitely not a slow burn, which makes me ever so thankful to the author as slow burn books have become all too common in reverse harem series. They've become something of a pet peeve for me... lol

Okay, I was expecting a mix between Buffy the Vampire Slyer, throw in a bit of Karpov Kinrade's Vampire Girl maybe a touch of LJ Swallow's the Four Horsemen. The title suggested a wicked sense of humour like Tara's West Eternally Yours.

I struggled through the first five chapters and decided this series is not for me... Good that it is free on Kindle Unlimited so I did not waste my money on it. The plot is just well thought out and while I like steamy reverse harem stuff and least give us an explanation why a vampire slayers falls for a vampire within the first two chapters and gets down and dirty - seriously?
