This is a great, easy read romance. It reminds me of a more modern version of the old school Harlequins. It wasn’t a “I have to finish this or I’ll die” but it was worth the read and was good enough that I’ll check out the rest of the series. There were a handful of very obvious spelling/grammar errors, but not enough to make you crazy. My main complaint was that I really dislike the trope where the guy has an absolutely flawless physique but we’re continually reminded that the girl is 10lbs overweight and loves carbs. The relationship between the characters flip-flops a little oddly in a couple places and it contradicts itself a little in one spot.. Overall a good read for a lazy weekend with nothing else going on but I wouldn’t read it a second time.

This is a new author to me, and frankly I’m impressed. The characters are so well developed that you can feel what they’re feeling, and it’s been a long time since I’ve taken that from a book. KB wove a tale of love, lust and suspense that kept me turning the page. When you think you know what’s going to happen, she changes it up. She’s got a new fan in me. Time to move onto the next, and I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve. Being an author myself, it's not easy keeping stories fresh and new, and this one really is...different than so many others that are cookie cutter. Grab this one, you won't be disappointed.

The book was ok, but a bit too immature for me. A 36 year old executive treating an employee like trash because he finds her attractive? And her liking him anyway after being treated like trash? Lol cmon... the conflict was forced as hell with both of them completely over reacting and expecting the worst of eachother for no reason. Then magically the fake conflict is wrapped up in the last chapter of the book. I gave it 3-stars because there were some loveable supporting characters and spicy sex scenes and deducted 2 stars for the immaturity and lack of actual conflict. Might have been more believable if the characters were younger.

This was the first time I'd read something by this author and I loved it. Elena works a job she's over qualified for. She's not treated that well, until Jason arrives, to sort out the failing company. He is attracted to Elena but fights it and takes his frustrations out on her. She has a bit of a lust and hate thing going with him. He's her temporary boss though and office relationships aren't allowed. The highlight of her days are her conversations with Bear on the dating app Privately. He is everything she could want in a man until he suggests they meet and they both discover something surprising. Bear is none other than Jason from work. This can either work or be a total disaster.
