This was a cute little love story with adorable banter. I loved the body positivity in this and the friendships.

There was an admirable level of character development for a short story. The world building was adequate and the language flowed well. Grammar and mechanics were okay in my version, but will probably be better after it’s published.

This second-chance, insta-love, short romance features a dreamy(literal) hero and a curvy, missed-her-chance heroine.
Independent, college freshmen, Charlie meets senior, David at a party. They share an amazing kiss and then Charlie leaves the party. David’s not sure if she’s into him and, though he tries contacting her, he gets no response. Miscommunication and a family emergency keeps them apart. Three years later, they run into each other, again. Unsure if the other is still interested, they have to find the courage to take another chance or miss out on something that could be wonderful.

This is a fun quick read. I thought the characters were well written and had depth even though there’s not much time to really dig deep. I loved the plus-size representation. I enjoyed the 90s nostalgia. Life was different before we all walked around with cellphones that’s for sure!.

This book was a great indulgence! The writing stands out in all the right ways. Take two chili pepper characters, throw in second chance, and a nostalgic 90s college setting, add some light enemies to lovers, a hot protective hero and lots of steam. Oh, and make the heroine curvy for good measure! Perfect read for curling up on a beach blanket in the summer!
