A Pack Extended: Williams-Torrance Pack Extended Epilogue Kindle Edition

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 215 ratings

***CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR A PACK UNCERTAIN***

This book is by no means required reading to get the Williams-Torrance Pack Experience. If you’ve read book 2 and we’re happy + don’t like reading about pregnancy, this is not the book for you.

I’ve found a pack– no, let me rephrase. We’ve found our pack. It’s been a couple years since we initially bonded and now we’re taking the next step.

Kids.

Well, I should say that’s the plan.

Does anything in life go exactly as we plan?

A Pack Extended is the extended epilogue taking place after the second book in the Williams-Torrance Pack series featuring LGBTQ+ and inclusive characters, why choose, and spicy—intended for adult audiences only. This is very fluffy and full of warm feels and happily ever after again.

A Pack Extended... a nice wrap up!

A Pack Extended... a nice wrap up!
A Pack Extended5/5What a way to finish this lovely pack, they went through some miscommunication and some struggled but, came out strong. This was my first time having the extended epilogue play as its own book rather than be at the end of a different book. But, I do like the little extra insight we get with this, I tend to be one of those people that just like as much detail as I can get into a book's happy ending.I definitely like how we got more insight on different aspects of the pack like Mickey and this book does truly live its name “Extended” due to children. This was short and there were parts that may have used a little extra detail but, overall this gave a nice short and sweet ending to tie this lovely pack all up!

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️⚠️⚠️

While I gave this particular book 5 stars, it’s actually a culmination of my ratings for all three books since I didn’t review the others individually.

First I want to start by saying I absolutely loved the inclusivity in this series! While I can’t say I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am a huge advocate and loved seeing the diversity of different ways each character found love in one another. I learned a lot from this series that I didn’t know before. So I really appreciate the author taking the time to be descriptive about certain terms and preferences about their non binary character.

Now one thing I will say that I had a personal hard time with that isn’t necessarily a fault of the series in general but my own personal preference, is that Adam sort of pulled away from cat as soon as he started his relationships with Damon and Micky. I can tell that he still loves her but as the story progresses he spends less and less time with her and most of it is spent with his other two mates. Seemingly playing favorites. I know that wasn’t the authors intention but that’s what I got out of it. Even if in the books Cat doesn’t express feeling that way and is comfortable with his relationships, It still grated on my emotions since in the beginning they were so close and tight knit. It kinda broke my heart a little bit.

Ok so finally I want to sum up this review by saying I loved reading this series despite my personal feelings on one couple’s dynamic. I really liked the writing style of it being modern and making it feel realistic. The fact that everyone is so open about their feelings with each other is totally goals for any relationship. Open communication is a must and is rare to find. It was all very healthy and gave me the warm and fuzzies. 🥰 This book specifically being an extended epilogue, was very quick to get through and closed everything up nicely. Although someone (Damon) really messed up in my eyes. Hello dude? Why did it take him 3 years to want to bond with Cat when he bonded with Adam within months of knowing him? Then they just carried on like usual with him playing favorites with Micky and Adam and barely being there for Cat. Honestly, he shouldn’t have bonded with her at all if he was so unsure that long. Literally within days of her asking him and him rejecting her for bonding, he bonded with Adam when he asked right away. The whole heat thing was just the icing on the cake for them. It seriously broke my heart…

Anyways, despite my own issues, I still highly recommend this series and look forward to seeing more books from this author. Thank you for sharing your interpretation of the omegaverse with us!

I never ended up liking Damon—he always felt a bit sleazy to me. And this has been my least favorite omega-omega book I’ve read, but the pack dynamics were interesting. Some parts of this book are depressing. I wanted more for them, but in other ways this was a perfect “neat bow” conclusion.

I read the series and was not happy with Damon mickey and Adam. To me mickey Adam and Damon were very selfish. Adam was her husband to start and
The pack became all about him.

I loved the extended epilogue! The journey with the pregnancies and every pack member having a child of their own Mickey becoming a parent. It was all wrapped up beautifully! What i way to start off June! I loved every minute of it. Cat was grating my nerves a little in the beginning but i got over it and still immensely enjoyed the book! Great duet and extended epilogue overall!

A fine epilogue for the Torrance Williams pack. Babies are born, and life moves along as the years go by. Highly recommend!

It was fun to see the pack in the future and how things worked out for them.

I read all 3 books and I am in love with them. It was sweet and spicy and the relationship between the characters was amazing! I went thru all the emotions in this series .

I couldn’t do it. I really tried but I could not do it. I’ve read the other two books
and I started the third but had to stop. I have read a lot of omegaverses and I felt such a disconnect with the characters and their decisions.
{{{{{SPOILERS}}}}}

I didn’t like the attitude of one of the alphas. First scene with him was strong but went steadily down hill from there. His priorities are his omega mate and really not Cat at all in my opinion; but boy does he zero in on her mate Adam. Adam is like madly in love with Cat and very protective of her but then kind of over time starts to be with Damon and Mickey (the other omega,Damons mate) more. There’s almost like two groups in the pack. Mickey has issues and trauma and so does Cat but whereas Cat is kinda forced to deal and doesn’t make it a huge deal, I feel like Mickeys was constantly front and center. Also Damon and Mickey are kinda condescending sometimes. I don’t know, It just drove me nuts. There is just too much to unpack here, but then I get 3rd book and after almost 3 years Damon still hasn’t bonded her after bonding with Adam after 3 MONTHS!!!! I Could Not Do It so I didn’t.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the epilogue I expected

So, this extended epilogue for the Williams-Torrance Pack duet was a mix of things I liked and disliked, and there are different perspectives on these aspects.

Unfortunately, my initial assumption was correct that this book was primarily used to tie up loose ends that weren't resolved at the end of the second book in the duet's main plot. That's something I dislike. It's a personal opinion, but for me, once the main story is finished, everything should be resolved, particularly concerning the characters and their relationships. An epilogue should provide extra content beyond the main plot and relationships, offering a glimpse into the future and family life, which it did provide.

The title of the book is fitting since they expand their pack with children, and that's what I expected.

However, the bonding between Damon and Cat should have been depicted in the main books, as well as the explanation of what that bond is between Mickey and Cat.

As I mentioned, there were parts that I found somewhat good and somewhat bad. For example, the time jumps. I appreciate that the author spans time over many years, but at the same time, it skips many significant moments. I can't recall if we ever had a true, fully written-out scene with everyone present during the heat. It felt rushed overall. One moment, baby one was born, and in the next chapter, she was already pregnant and in labor with twins. However, there was nothing in between, no depiction of their life with the children and how it changed things. I felt like there was a lot of missed potential.

So, we mostly jump from one pregnancy to another, with a few steamy or sweet moments in between. But it didn't feel connected for me. Consequently, I had trouble connecting with the characters, especially since I read the main duet a few months ago. This is precisely why I typically avoid reading unfinished series, as initial feelings often fade with time, and I forget details.

However, at the time, I didn't know there would be an extra epilogue and loose ends at the end of the duet. But these are things that couldn't be helped.

Another aspect that I see as both positive and negative is the fact that the book demonstrates that even after the "HEA," things don't always run smoothly, such as the heat debacle. I appreciated that it was addressed since it adds realism, showing that they have to work on it and still demonstrate love and support for each other.

However, this situation created a division within the pack dynamic that wasn't properly resolved, in my opinion. It felt like there were two separate packs in one. On one side, Damon, Adam, and Mickey, and on the other, Cat, Abby, and Matt. I didn't like that.

Damon was one of the characters who had the least time with Cat, and this wasn't resolved in the duet. Even though the epilogue attempted to tie up loose ends, it didn't feel believable to me. They had one moment alone, but with a time jump of around three years in relation to the significant amount of time they had, but we never got to see.

Furthermore, Adam's lack of focus on Cat was another aspect I couldn't support. They were together for years before that. Cat chose him. However, towards the end, I saw him more often with Damon and Mickey than with Cat. Or they were together as a group, but it didn't feel like a strong bond.

As I mentioned, we didn't see many moments of family life with kids or interactions between the children. So, while the epilogue had its merits, it also fell short in some aspects.

Overall, I appreciate that this pack and their dynamics are unique, especially with Mickey and Cat being platonic partners. That's something I rarely come across. Usually, all the characters are romantically involved with the female main character, and some or all of them have relationships with each other as well. In this case, the omegas are simply friends with each other, yet they still love and support one another.

To be honest, my feelings about this book are quite mixed. Despite that, I would still give it 4 stars. However, it is the book that I disliked the most.
