I was so engrossed in this story that the ending smacked me in the face. That's what I get for not paying attention to the page count. The mystery and suspense blended perfectly with the passion between Claire and Fletch. This is something I've come to love and expect when it comes to Ms. James. Her stories are intense and multilayered, and her characters are complex. As I said, this one does end in a cliffhanger, but the next book is due to be released soon so don't let that be a deal breaker. It's a must read.

I love this cat and mouse romance between the master jewel thief Claire Mitchell and the Ryland Fletcher is the investigator determined to catch her. Claire is not your normal thief she's containing her grandfather's legacy and returning precious art stolen during the World War II to its rightful owners. Ryland's security firm Silver Arrow Security is guarding valuable pieces against theft. I love the chemistry and witty banter between them, Ryland and his team know Claire is a n art thief so there's plenty of drama especially when Claire and her best are friend Mia are in danger. Can Fletch and Carter they save them? Can he keep them out of hot water long enough for Claire to trust him? I love this story line its filled with twists and turns that lead to a cliffhanger. The real question is who are the real baddies. That you have to learn for yourself!
