A Pine Creek Homecoming: A Sweet Cowboy Romance (The Cowboys of Pine Creek Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 130 ratings

An eight-second ride only feels like forever. True forever? That feels like home.

Alyssa Morgan could have buckled when Hunter left for the rodeo, taking her heart with him. And she could have withered when her grandfather died and left her alone. Instead, she has made a beautiful life for herself in Pine Creek. Right next door to Hunter’s family. Which was fine, since he was never coming back.

Hunter Carlson isn’t ready to say goodbye to the professional rodeo circuit. But when the doctor warns him that another concussion could leave him permanently injured—or worse—he is left with no choice but to head back to Pine Creek. Working on the family ranch isn’t as exciting as a bucking bull, but it should pay the bills.

Alyssa is speechless when Hunter comes back to town. Pine Creek isn’t exactly bustling, and any of Alyssa’s attempts to avoid Hunter are hopeless. She’s on the ranch as much as he is and there’s a big problem:

She expected to hate him…Not for the feelings to come rushing back after all these years.

Loved this book and the family. So glad that Lysaa got her man. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I recommend this book to all who love to read about the cowboys and their lives and loves.

Nice start to the series. Made my heart ache for Alyssa, life is hard. Laid the start of a background for this family of boys. But a good start with the one that chased his dream.

A Pine Creek Homecoming is such a sweet read. Alyssa and Hunter are wonderful together. You feel the pull and the connection between them from the very start. You feel for Alyssa as she faces a few hurdles here and there once Hunter is back in her life. Hunter is home and his brothers do not make it easy. He followed his dream until it changed. This is Alyssa and Hunter's second chance to get things right and you are going to love every moment of this one. I could not put this down. I cannot wait to see what happens in this series next.

You can go home again but family and your former girlfriend have to trust that you are going to stay in this second chance romance. Hunter’s rodeo days end with an injury, but he’s excited to be horse trainer at his family’s ranch, reconnect with his former and hopefully future love Alyssa, and be part of the possibilities for the future. But things do not go smoothly with a fire and opportunities that put him at a crossroads. This was a sweet kisses only romance. Hunter was a horse whisperer but Alyssa was pretty good as his assistant and cute with the preschoolers.

Second chance, small town, and cowboys. The best type of read. Absolutely love Hunter and Alyssa. The whole family is great as supporting characters. Love the whole read and a great start to a new series. Can't wait for the next.

Christina Butrum has a talent for creating warm, wholesome stories involving large close knit families and characters in need of healing, both physically and mentally.

Diane and Porter Carlson have six sons, which comes in handy when you have a ranch to run. All of the men, except Hunter have stayed on the ranch to help with the work of running it. Hunter chased his rodeo dream until an injury ended it. When he comes home to Pine Creek, he has every intention of making up for lost time, both with his family and with his first love, Alyssa. First he must convince everyone that he is home to stay. Alyssa is still in love with him, but she has been hurt too many times. His brothers can’t help but be a little resentful that he left in the first place.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading A Pine Creek Homecoming. It is a great start to a new series. It definitely was like coming home. I am looking forward to Book 2. It is refreshing to read an author that creates wholesome, clean stories that leave you with a good feeling. Good stories and believable characters are all you need. Ms. Butrum has perfected the art.

A Pine Creek Homecoming: A Sweet Cowboy Romance (The Cowboys of Pine Creek Book 1) was a sweet read. Overall I enjoyed the story but did not feel a deep connection between Alyssa and Hunter.

I will read the next book in the series because the writing style was really solid.

I received this ARC free from the author. The review is voluntary. The opinions my own.

This book was a quick easy read with relatively little drama. There is a faith element but it doesn't overwhelm. An ok read but not sure I would search out others in the series.
