This was a nice story, so much of it tells of real-life situations especially with a parent (s). I think you are going to like this book.
Joshus Ludington and Lucie Cooper fall for each other, but not before trust issues arise. You might know of the legendary tales of the Hatfield's and McCoy's where their way of solving issues was with gunfights - good old shootouts. The Ludington's and the Knott Family feud differently - they put it on paper, and like most small towns, the word spreads and before you know it, the story grows by the minute. People are nosy and audacious. The truth is, it's none of their business.

"Do you think you are the only one who's afraid to get hurt? I've had my heart broken, too. I'm terrified to put myself back out there again. When you let yourself develop feelings for someone, you make yourself vulnerable. You put your heart on the line.
The feud between the Ludington's and Knott's families does not come to an end in this book, so you have to keep reading.
