They weren't looking for love, but it found them in Hawaii anyway.

Alexis Robinson is alone on what should have been her honeymoon. It's just her luck that she gets knocked over by a car door before she even steps foot inside the Hawaiian resort. The man who hit her offers to pay her, but she refuses. It reminds her of what her ex would have done - throw money at everything. But when she witnesses his assistant quit her job, she persuades him to let her take over, desperate to keep her mind off her cheating ex.

Maxwell King is only at the Maui Royal Resort to decide whether or not to purchase it. His wealth has only grown over the years, but it's time for him to step into a different role and take on something more challenging. A jilted bride alone on her honeymoon.
A stubborn billionaire in need of an assistant.
And a resort in paradise for a week.

When the lines of their working agreement blur, will Alexis and Maxwell keep it strictly business? Or will the sparks flying between them be enough to persuade the billionaire?

Good, clean romance. Alexis decides to go on her honeymoon alone after her fiance jilts her. On the first day, she is hit by a car door, meets a billionaire, and agrees to work for him when he ends up needing an assistant. Crazy how her ex shows up and thinks she will take him back after what he did. Working for Maxwell helps take her mind of things and he acts as a buffer between her and her ex. A misunderstanding on his part causes her to leave. Good ending.

I enjoyed reading this. It was interesting and I must say, I liked Alexis. There was tension, and also romance. A good balance between the two.

It wasn’t the best, it wasn’t the worst. Looking for less smut? This is perfect for you! Very predictable but a good read.

This is a fun romantic read.

Escape to Hawaii, learn the heartbreak and sorrows that bring these different people together, and have a blast while reading.

The characters are well formed, the story hits all the right notes, and you'll keep turning pages to the satisfying conclusion.

Maybe, instead of " Persuading the Billionaire" it should be "Persuading Alexis". This was a good story with a twist that made it different from so many of the stories in the billionaire genre. I liked the fresh aspect of that twist. No spoilers, you will have to read it!

Loved this clean romance. Quriky meet greet. A few typos, but nothing that I couldn't gather what was supposed to be said. Can't wait to read more.

I really enjoyed the book and was engrossed in it, but there were a lot of grammar and punctuation errors throughout the whole book.

I picked this up because I wanted something cotton candy fluffy to escape with. Unfortunately, this was too unbelievable & by-the-numbers to be able to mute my inner critic.

Who throws money at someone & practically begs them to sue by letting them know they have deep pockets simply because they accidentally hit them with a door & with no obvious damage? He didn't even say "Here, go get that checked out & I'll pay for it so we can be sure you're ok" - nope, it's just "Here, have some money". No way.

It didn't get better from there. The writing was decent enough that I was able to finish the book, but I'll confess to skimming thru much of the last half. The angsting was just too boring & redundant. And it needed a less obviously contrived conflict.

At least the happily-ever-after was alright.

Clean romance level: sweet kisses

I enjoyed this clean 'jilted bride' romance. This is the first book by this author but won't be my last as she kept my interest right to the end and I enjoyed getting to know the main characters. I haven't read the previous books but it felt like a standalone so don't let it being #3 discourage you from reading this book.
