The Underbelly (Looking Through the Shadows Book 1) Kindle Edition
Only six degrees of separation.
Some people believe there are only six steps of separation between anyone. Just six connections to reach any other person alive today. In some cases? They're even closer than expected.
When life takes a turn and isolates Frankie, she feels like everything has fallen apart. But for Damien, the same events make it all fall into place. And Jake feels like an outsider, unable to see his own importance. Their threads were woven together by the one person they miss the most and by the loss that changed their lives.
Tragedy brought them together and love strengthens their bond. Trauma and loss can’t sever the connection that letters from the past created. Not all endings are happily ever after but finding a way through Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is possible.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

The author does a magnificent job capturing the pain of all the characters and I literally started sobbing at the tragedy that this book ended on. It’s not a book for the weary and can be difficult to stomach at times but beautifully written.

This book has an unimaginable ability to transport you inside it. You will feel like you are right there with Frankie living her life and enduring all the emotions she goes through. Michelle found a way to completely capture my attention and soul with this book. I read each book in a day, simply couldn't pull myself away from it. She manages to capture the life of service members and civilians alike. I definitely recommend reading it, even if you find yourself wanting to curse the author at the end! Absolutely love it though and have read it multiple times.
