Twyla Turner (1978- ) was born in Joliet, Illinois and was almost immediately enamored with all things entertainment and yearned for something "more". She wrote her first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating a whole world from her mind. But it was a long winding road to self-publishing her first novel Star-Struck. An interest in science and animals, to wanting to be the next Oprah, majoring in radio/television with a minor in creative writing, to a year in Japan, four years in California and then to Arizona where a trip to spiritual Sedona awakened something in her and the need to write finally hit her like a brick wall. And once she started, the ideas flooded her brain like she never dreamed possible. Her love of romance and travel, as well as her struggle with body image and the male species combined into wanting to write romance for 'real' women. She has 11 books to date and one novella and her dark romance trilogy The Damaged Souls Series was a 2015 Amazon Bestseller. She has become known as a champion for the underdog and she's only just getting started.

This book right here! OMG! Loved it! Mia and Dante had a connection that was so dang hot, the head with singe your eyebrow and eyelashes clean off. I loved how Dante would stop at nothing to get Mia, his love. But Mia kept blocking her blessing. No spoilers. Sorry. I'll just say this author wrote a fabulous story. It kept me engaged until the end of the epilogue. I was so happy that Dante, Mia, and Celeste got their HEA.

What a enjoyable story with amazing characters that are captivating with a relationship that is entertaining but drama filled.The couple has a sizzling passion and burn up the pages.This is the third story about the women in the CGC but as usual women wish that we could have sex like we don't catch feeling but that's hard for us but I appreciated that she liked her body and, that noting how her figure was just as sexy as any women. This is the kind of story that has you cheering for the friends. There is funny, sad and emotional parts. It also kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what Mia would do next. All of the drama will keep the pages turning.I'm looking forward to the next story.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. Having read the previous 2 in the series, I was convinced the main character would have a sudden and unnatural change to make a HEA. The evolution of Mia was nothing short of a flower blooming. Her chemistry with Dante is scorching and delicious.
Both main characters display who they are and find the love they both want. It's a beautiful story I keep re-reading.

I really enjoyed this series so much. Long friendships that turn into a family. Ones you can be open with and they just as open with you. A bond like no other. Alsa Dante and Mia was an amazing read!! The way Dante took his time with Mia, not letting her call the shots. She deserved that kind of love and she was free to be as open with her sexuality with him. The only thing that irked my nerve was McKennon name change lol. Once you know a character one way its a hard change for me.

At first I thought this was just gonna be some smutty woman going through her ho phase. Don't get me wrong, I'm always here for it! But this actually ended up being a really fun story. Straightforward no nonsense writing, just like the FMC, with the perfect amount (and quality) of spice. I always appreciate when an author can make the steamy stuff tasteful and still really sexy. I really enjoyed that Mia was empowered without being obnoxious and Dante was the guy every woman dreams of having. I feel like the trafficking element wasn't really necessary to the story, it felt a bit superfluous and like Twyla thought she needed drama that honestly wasn't needed. But overall I really enjoyed the book and am so glad I picked it up. I usually don't pick up books mid series but this one has definitely made me want to read the others.

I am a huge fan of the first two books in the series but wasn’t sure how I would feel about Mia’s story. I knew that she was a lot more sexually open than I was comfortable with and was not excited about her having all this random sex. But I read the book because I wanted to be able to follow the series to completion. And I’m so glad I did!! 😃 The author did an amazing job of telling Mia’s story and making us understand why she is who she is. It was also great to see an alpha male be vulnerable and sensitive. The chemistry between Dante and Mia was off the charts. And of course seeing characters from the previous books was a plus. I started reading this and couldn’t put it down. Finished it in a day and a half and now I’m really excited for Kennedy’s story.

Dante and Mia are hot, passionate, vulnerable people, even though Mia have it the biggen (I'm a cockney from East London) I loved her confidence and that she owned her sexuality. As for the Adonis, Dante he would definitely get it! I loved this book and cannot wait for Kennedy's story.
