A Monstrous Claim: Part 1 Kindle Edition
I should have minded my business. If I had, I wouldn't be in this mess. And by this mess, I mean being held prisoner in the monster realm.
Maybe I'll learn one day.
My captors are as sexy as they are lethal, and while I'm terrified of them, I can't deny the insatiable desire that draws me to them. No matter what I do, I can't shake the feeling.
And I'm not sure I want to.
A Monstrous Claim is a paranormal reverse harem romance. It has a sassy main character, a hint of mystery, and three monsters that will have you fearing the dark, or craving it.

The dynamic with Elio, Az and Devyn I really loved and definitely want to see more of their relationship development and interactions in this next book but damn rafe came out of nowhere… I wasn’t prepared for that dynamic but ooohhh did I love it.
I’m really excited for book 2 and what it brings.
Also… a bit confused about the speed of the fast burn for her. But that didn’t bother me as much.
The spice was fun and it had a good mix of MMCs. The plot also had some potential.
Spice: 5/5
Triggers: violence, gore, force exhibitionism, dubcon
Totally irrelevant but Rafe is my favorite character.
I loved Azarius and Elio, but Rafe! Holy.. he is 🥵🥵🥵 The harem grows as each monster gives into their feelings. There is a nice balance of plot and 🌶🌶🌶 It isn't overly heavy on either one. The world is vast and I am curious as to how Devyn fits in. We do learn why she isn't dying in the monster realm, but what attributes will she possess? I am excited for part two! I need more, especially Rafe.
I got this on a stuff your eReader day and I'm glad I didn't spend the money on it.
The premise isn't bad, the world building is alright. The characters are written pretty shallow, especially Devyn. I won't be reading part 2, but I'm not against giving this author another chance down the road.
#1) Be there monsters here: and demons and warlocks and hybrid creatures.
#2) Don't be a prude: all the boudoir steam and no fade-to-black; reverse harem/why choose? Only MF scenes.
#3) HEA...kinda.
#4) 1st person POV; alternating chapters.
#5) Maybe a cliffhanger...?
So Devyn gets herself into quite the predicament when she follows two hot guys through a magical hole in a wall. I mean, obviously it's not going to end up quite so well. Or you could be lucky like Devyn and find yourself mated to some serious hunks! That wouldn't be the way my tale ends up, but hey...I'm not the main character here.
Sure there's fighting with the local hybrid monsters who want to capture the human, but that's nothing to worry about when your mates are stronger.
This book does end with several key plot points unresolved, but since the title includes the phrase "Part 1", I'm hoping those issues will be resolved in future books.

This Book Left Me Feeling: 🥵😋🥰
Genre: Monster Romance
Tropes: RH, Magic, Monsters, Demons, Fiesty FMC, Cinnamon Roll/Grumpy/DownrightDangetous MMC's.
About The Book:
The story, much like monsters inc, really starts when a girl finds her way to the realm of monsters. Humans aren't supposed to be able to get there, so is she special or is the magic of the monster realm starting to crumble?
What Will Stay With Me:
How I initially pictured Rafe as Mr Waternoose 🤣 and just that I want desperately to know how their story ends up.
Review:
At the start of this book I was sitting here chuckling to myself about how it reminded me of Monsters Inc but that quite quickly changed. One minute I was having a chuckle at Rafe's expense and then shiz got real hot real quick. This book has left my mouth hanging open too many times for multiple reasons, esspecially near the end. Like I don't think I even closed it for 3 chapters.
Rafe can come be the monster living under my bed ANY TIME. Open invitation. But he wasn't the only character I liked. I'm not usually too much of a fan of the cinnamon roll characters cause I love a bit of a mean streak but Az was everything and so vital to rhe story to give it and everyone that sense of hope and lightness. Elio is a bit of a grump who struggles initially to accept or express his feelings and that's just always a swoon worthy character.
In short I loved this book, a must read for any monster lover and I can't wait to read the second part of this story.
