Sin is fun, has humor, and just wants to be loved for himself. As he says, he does not want to be someone’s dirty little secret. Grant is afraid too much of what people think to be himself. So when their best friends set them up on a blind date, you know there will be fireworks.

Want Ajax and Cam’s story, please.

Yeah… this was not great.

Really in need of an edit there were typos and other issues all over the place. I also had a really hard time style wise because it was mostly telling and very little showing “sin felt sad” “Grant was confused” rather than showing us those emotions with the story or dialogue. The premise for this was great and I was excited when I grabbed it off the stuff your kindle event but it just didn’t live up to my expectations.

I didn’t find either character to be consistent in their personality and the plot felt forced rather than flowing well. Also I hate when one MC ultimatums the other about coming out and/or forces their hand both of which Sin did. I could go on but I’ll leave it there

This could have been great but ultimately felt amateur-ish and really needs a good editor.

A Love Affair with my Boss by Summer Vegas is a steamy, emotional MM Valentine’s blind date novella released as part of the AB Shared World Valentine’s Date Series. Sin meets Grant on a blind date and has an amazing night on a condition of anonymity, despite the fact that their connection is profound and seems to go beyond the physical. Imagine his surprise when the man he can’t stop thinking about is his boss, and he’s with a woman! Can Sin and Grant overcome insecurities, secrets, and societal pressures to build a relationship?

I haven’t read many books in this genre, but the emotion and pressure comes off as authentic, the characters are engaging, and the chemistry is definitely spicy. It feels like there may have been a previous book for Jax and Cam, but I’m not sure about that. The supporting characters definitely add to the story and contribute to the world building. I would like to see a story for Elena. The way the novella ends is like a mini cliffhanger leading into another book for two other characters. I was definitely not expecting that plot shift, but it could be interesting. Overall, this was an entertaining, quick read.

A cute short story as two men go on a blind date, but a bit sad as well. One is a bit fem, the other still hiding his gayness, you can guess where that's going can't you! Anyway, its sweet and touching and sad, but that ending!!!!

Usually I don't leave bad reviews. But this short story really suffers from bad editing. Lots and lots of punctuation errors, some missing or misplaced words, lots of very simple sentences, character interactions and one or two continuity errors (my first language is not english but I noticed anyway and it irritated me!). Wrapped together in a predictable story brimming with what seems like checkpoints for this genre and voila: I only finished it because it was a short story and I wanted to know if it would get better. No.
HEA, some potentially nice, but underdeveloped characters - it would have been better if it had seen some more time on the author's and editor's screen before getting published. Doesn't make me want to read more from this author. 2 Stars for the guts to publish and the efford to write something for the reading community.
