Fight For Me (Bad Boys of the City, #2): Fighter Romance Kindle Edition
That was me until one punch stripped it all away.
Tail in between my legs, I left Vegas for Miami to lick my wounds and plot my revenge.
But years later I'm a pathetic loser with demons that keep knocking me down.
There's nothing left for me.
Until Mackenzie Greene shows up and makes me an offer I can't refuse.
Sixteen and pregnant, I needed a new start.
So I left everything behind me in Vegas and ran away to Miami.
Two years later, anger and resentment still live inside me.
The only thing that keeps me going is my daughter.
I want revenge and has-been UFC fighter Bronx Boston is going to help me get it.
There's only one little problem.
I need to keep him from falling off the wagon and myself from falling for him.
*This is a hot and steamy bad boy fighter romance with a happily ever after ending and no cliffhanger.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As far as the characters went, I don't understand why they made the choices they did, logically they just didn't add up to me.
I will say that very little time was spent on the characters whining about their situation.
No single mom thinking the world is against her an he never complained about living out of his car.
It was refreshing and weird all at the same time.
I enjoyed this story, it was great. Thank you, Marie York. Great work :)
A little background: Years ago I picked up the first version of Book One as a Kindle freebie. By the time I got around to reading it, the rest of the series had been taken down by the author so I never got to see the end but I never forgot the characters so I was thrilled to see this book. Moral of the story: Don't let your Kindle freebies stagnate for too long! I think the new, updated versions are better written and I plan to go back and read the new Book One now. While this can be read as a standalone, I feel a reader would get more enjoyment if they had familiarity with the background/characters from Book One.
Note: Available on KU when review is posted. Technically standalone, but I feel better if read after Book One. Some detailed steamy scenes, some coarse language.

It grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and turning page after page throughout the whole book!
I loved everything about it - the characters, the plot, the emotion, and the writing!
