Fae Gods Kindle Edition

When Jocelyn's unhappy marriage hits rock bottom, three strangers appear, offering to help repair her relationship as Love Architects. To fully immerse themselves in their role, they move in with Jocelyn and her husband, using their seemingly otherworldly understanding of love and relationships to teach Alex how to care for his wife, including giving hands-on intimacy lessons.
But little does Jocelyn know,
these mysterious men have been with her every step of the way, rotating in shifts to watch over her 24/7/365 since the moment she reached maturity. Invisible to her, they have been present for every key moment in her life, their duty to protect her and keep her safe as she is of royal fae blood.
As they work to save her marriage, the fae gods find themselves falling for Jocelyn and she for them. However, their love is impossible and their relationship could have deadly consequences in the fae world.
And when one of them accidentally takes her as a mate, things get even more complicated. As they struggle to keep their true identities hidden and navigate their forbidden love, they must also confront the dangers that threaten their relationship and decide where their loyalties lie — with the fae world or with the woman they have come to love.

Number one bestselling author Kathy Haan believes the secret to telling a great story is living one. The second youngest, in a massive horde of children between her parents, she did her best to gain attention and kept everyone entertained with jokes and wild stories.

She lives a life of adventure with her hunky husband, three children, and Great Pyrenees in the Midwest, United States. While new to the fiction world, you might’ve seen her work in Forbes or US News, where she’s a regular contributor.

You can take her quiz to find out which supernatural character you'd be in the fae realm of Bedlam: kathyhaan.com/quiz

The first half of the book was written like a domestic, non paranormal romance, and I found myself deeply invested in the FMC marriage. The fae guardians (swoon) were shadowy figures that you got to know more as the book went along, but I did find myself having a hard time keeping them straight. The bedroom scenes were very well written.

I really enjoyed the first portion of this book, but when Socrates entered the picture, the plot became much harder to follow.

All in all, it was a good read, but I’m not sure I’ll continue to the next in the series.

The writing was not good enough to keep me from being distracted thinking about the author… who seems like she must be a middle-age female who’s gone through a divorce/had a bad marriage and wishes she was a fairy. There were also a few typos. I don’t think this had an advanced editor or if it did the author may not have listened to them. This felt like a hobbyist’s unedited attempt at a novel. Kudos to the author for trying their hand at writing one though, it’s more than I’ve ever done. The 3 main male fae characters did not display their described personalities enough to distinguish them from each other. They tried to end this book on a cliffhanger but it wasn’t good enough to get me to buy a sequel. Got for free on stuff your kindle day. Would not re-read or purchase more from this author.
