This looks like a beast of a watch. Mega Chad but it’s not worth the $300 price tag at all.- 2 year battery- no solar power- no atomic time keeping- steel stamped case (no screw back)- no Bluetooth- basic module featuresWhat are you paying for? Just a chunky piece of resin/plastic and nothing else. This is a basic $80 Gshock with a compass. Definitely uncomfortable to wear and not worth it considering the features of the GW-M5610 or GW-6900/7900. Skip this watch. It just looks “tacti-cool” 👎🏻

I previously had a mud master Gshock and looked around for a good deal. The packaging on this was exemplary as is the watch. Highly recommend.

I used this watch as my go to timepiece while guiding a backpacking trip in Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming. The watch is bulky, but definitely burly and built to handle some abuse. Even with the size, though, it fits well on my wrist. I really appreciate how easy the lume is while reading the watch at night in a tent. After spending a day in the sun, I would not even need to light up the watch to see the hands early in the morning during an alpine start. The compass is a nice feature to have for quick reference, but I would not substitute the feature for a proper compass with a sliding bezel. I do wish the altimeter feature was available at this price point, but I guess that's what you pay for for the next tier. I never really used the temp sensor.
I foresee using this watch for a long time on other adventures hiking, skiing, paddling and other outdoor work. Cheers!

I've always had a soft spot for watches and the G-Shock is no exception. It's well made and durable, accurate and easier to maneuver than previous iterations and I get tons of compliments on its looks and beefiness. This may end up being the last watch I'll ever own.

I wonder how old this watch is, how can a battery die in 4 months, is there something wrong with this watch or was it in stock for a very long time? Don't know how much it will cost me 30$ 40$, have no idea, however I should not have to pay for a battery in a brand new watch.

Chunky, and seemingly constructed from pure bull testicles - more rugged than an SF operators beard and tats.
