CONS
- Nothing notable
Overall, I have been very pleased with this cable. I took it on the road with me for a week, pulling it in and out of various bags, moving around, etc. It's held up great so far. I could find nothing to complain about with the audio quality. Every audio source I used the cable with sounded fine. The audio jacks plug in with a slight click and enough pressure so they don't shake loose. Also of note, I own an iphone case that has a narrow opening for the audio plug, and I have had previous issues trying to plug cables in through it. The Anker cable fit without any problems. For those interested, I measured the small spacer between the actual plug and the thicker metal shell at ~5mm thick. The outer shell is ~7mm.
With all of the similarly priced cables that are available, I would consider the Anker cable a solid choice. It has held up great for me so far, and aesthetically, the metal plugs and red nylon braid make it look a step up from many other cables I researched.
However, I am concerned regarding the never-ending flow of folks who speak as if they're experts and, in fact, don't know very much about the product or category. This product is an excellent example; people claiming to possess the ability to objectively rate the sonic quality of one particular brand of braided wires versus another is folly. Unfortunately, many of the folks with "deeply insightful" reviews claiming special abilities such as are proclaiming they have a gift and that they'll share their sights with you if only you'll friend them and follow their page.
Simply put, the high quality of the braided wire in this product (or any properly braided wire) enclosed in a durable, but flexible sheath (any durable, flexible sheath), ensures that all the notes that went into the cord at one end, come out the other end. Other than mechanically caused noises, such as static when braided wires break, the human ear simply lacks the sensitivity to determine minute variations in frequency without a studio soundroom stuffed to overflowing with state of the art equipment.
Factually, medical science defines the range of normal, human hearing or the "bark scale" as 24 bands extending from 20Hz to 20 Khz. Each band has a mid-point with an average range of plus or minus 416 Hz. Swings within any given range are further complicated by the fact that absolute changes present radically different percentage changes when view longitudely across the spectrum. For example, a 10Hz change across the entire spectrum has no discernable effect, that a human can hear at the upper end of the spectrum, e.g.: +/-10Hz devided by 18Khz = 0.005%. However, at the low end of the range, heavy bass that human's definitely can hear, +/-10Hz represents a change of over 16%. Net, you will hear the change at the bottom end (that's why there's so many headphones featuring reenforced bass). But, throughout the mid- and upper-ranges, the difference between one brand's sound stage and another's is not mathematically or sonically meaningful.
So, next time you read a review that says brand X was 10 Hz better throughout the mid-range, know we're back to our actual difference - 20 devided by 18,000 - and their hearing must be better than any living critter on this planet. . .not
Thank You, Anker!

There are 100's of companies, sellers, "re-BRANDers" shady-con-people everywhere on internet retail...
Anker isn't one of the cheap or shady outfits. Every item that I've tried and purchased has exceeded my expectations AND needs! I'm VERY satisfied with Anker!
Charging - data transfer cables and devices (power banks, intelligent "wall warts", USB: Mini & Micro USB, USB type C)
Portable Bluetooth speakers and audio/power cables to support them.
Important Note: personally, I have a pet peeve when I see reviews entered immediately after purchase OR years after an item has been MISused or MIStreated... too much *gray area* that I personally DO NOT, CAN not & WILL not trust, unless immediate failure or non-functions I'll wait after a certain number of uses or time period depending on the basic use of item. (IE: a Bluetooth speaker/headset versus a "simple" audio cable)
I've purchased a few sets (different lengths, formations, etc.) over a few years, I take very serious and protective CARE of my electronics from retaining OEM container, any 'n all papers instructions and information even for these audio cables.
Compared to previously purchased cables/ cords Ankers' have BY FAR exceeded my expectations... they are simply superior in BOTH *quality AND cost* to even "bigger branded or advertised" corporations' products...
(I only wish they provided power and connectivity products for my bass guitar/ amplification gear!)
Top reviews from other countries
I use this audio cable with my headphones that allow for a detachable cable. My headphones are actually quite old (discontinued model), but they are my fav headphones. Before these headphones, all my previous headphones would only last up to 1 year, before their wires died. With these headphones, I could just replace the cable instead of constantly buying new headphones. However, even then, all the wires I previously used would also only last up to 1 year before dying.
I'm glad I eventually found this Anker audio cable. I hope it lasts a long time so I do not have to keep replacing my headphone cables.
In general, this braided audio cable is quite nice. The quality of the cable seems good, including the texture of the braiding itself. It's quite a flexible cable.
The metal connector's length is not too long, so they don't poke out too much from the bottom of my headphones, so I don't have any issues moving my head around when wearing headphones using this audio cable (I've had some issues with this in the past with other cables).
The Anker audio cable also comes with this nice little velcro strip. Normally it's used for storing the cable, but I actually use this velcro strip to keep the cable attached to my desk for better cable management, lol. It's a tiny little thing, but it's actually quite useful. I like that little touch that Anker adds to their cables (they add the velcro strip for their charging cables too).
I've used other Anker cables in the past (charging cables), and so far all of the Anker cables I've used have been quite good.
Update:
I've used this Anker audio cable for around 7 months now and it's still going strong, no issues!
Update2:
I've now used this Anker cable over 2 years, and it's still working well, same as when I first got it. I've even accidentally pulled the cable out a number of times over the years (standing / moving around while still connected), yet the cable has still had zero issues. Highly recommended!
