HAVIT Kailh Low Profile Blue Switches 87 Keys HV-KB390L Mechanical Keyboard HAVIT Backlit Wired Gaming Keyboard Extra-Thin & Light, Kailh Latest Low Profile Blue Switches, 87 Keys N-key Rollover HV-KB390L (Black)
I started with the HAVIT. Too expensive for so little delivered, I was afraid it would break any time soon.
My last one, the G413 was almost perfect. Good materials, minimalist, beautiful. But the switch Romer-G, it's not there yet. And that metal feedback noise, no, it's very annoying. I need to say that it would even get tired after typing all day.
In a matter of size and design, the CM are amazing, but they do not feel sturdy in my opinion. Lack of wrist rests also was a problem for those price ranges. They are loud even with red switches.
Corsairs, they were smoother, quieter, but I was looking for less useless space, and Corsairs have a lot of useless BS.
Logitech had a sale on the G610 and I couldn't be more satisfied. Smooth, comfortable, quiet, fast, really fast.
Materials are perfect, light is perfect. No frills, no color, few effects.
The keyboard goes back in factory mode when the computer reset and the software it's not running but that's because I took Logitech out of my startup programs.
I just wished they went with standard design and spacing for the key caps, so changing them would be easy. Some keys are not standard, like shift, caps lock, and space bar.
I miss the USB pass through of the G413 but I don't miss that absurd double USB cable.
After using this keyboard I can never go back to a keyboard that doesn't have dedicated media controls, and the volume wheel has spoiled me.
PROS:
- Keys feel great to type on
- Lighting is bright, and having a key dedicated to adjusting that brightness is a nice bonus
- V O L U M E W H E E L and other dedicated media keys make this an incredible keyboard if you enjoy listening to music while doing other tasks (playing games and such)
- Very sturdy and rigid casing
- It's Logitech, their stuff lasts longer than some of my older computers
CONS:
- No RGB lighting (only white)
- No USB pass-through
--- This might sound like a nitpick but the cable for my mouse needs plenty of extra room so that it doesn't drag the mouse around, having a USB port in the keyboard prevents this sort of issue
- No wrist rest (personally I don't care much about that but I know some people who would)
Do note that the Red keys are linear and not mechanical or clicky, if you would prefer more tactile feedback then you should look for the G610 Orion Brown. This is otherwise a great keyboard for the price and I would highly recommend it.
BUILD QUALITY:
The keyboard feels sturdy and has a bit of weight to it which results in a unit that feels robust and fairly high-quality. The top of the keyboard has a nice matte finish and the keycaps also have a matte, almost "satin" finish to them. The side of the keyboard is glossy and will surely attract fingerprints. Matte sides would have been much nicer and the decision to make them glossy seems a bit strange, but it does not seem to be that big a deal. The keycaps do leave a bit to be desired as they seem to be of a lower quality than the rest of the board and from the looks of it these keycaps will be glossing over fairly soon as I put this keyboard to extensive use. The media keys and volume roller situated in the upper right-hand corner of the keyboard both feel of a high quality.
KEYCAPS:
Do note, and this may be important for some folks, if you want to use custom keycaps, this keyboard does have an odd-size bottom row, particularly the spacebar which comes in at a very weird 5.75u. The entire bottom row on this keyboard is: 1.5u, 1.25u, 1.25u, 5.75u, 1.25u, 1.25u, 1.25u, 1.5u. With enough searching (and of course money) you could probably find keycaps for this bottom row, but do bear in mind that it may not be so easy and once you do find some nicer caps by time you pay for them you could be faced with a situation where the cost of those caps on top of the cost of this board exceeds that of getting a board with better keycaps to begin with. This is perhaps something for you to consider.
LIGHTING:
The lighting on the G610 only comes in white, however if you like the subdued styling of the keyboard but would prefer more lighting colors there is an RGB option, which is the Logitech G810. It is very similar to this board that in addition to the RGB lighting will feature Logitech's proprietary Romer-G switches as opposed to the Cherry brown or red switch options available on the G610. Whether one enjoys the feel of Romer-G switches is very much personal preference, but one thing to note with Romer-Gs is the backlighting will be more consistent across each key, unlike Cherry’s keys where thanks to the switch design influencing the placement of the LED, the lighting can be uneven across a key. For example, the bottom half of the keys of the number row (e.g. @, %, ^, &), and the secondary functions of the Numpad (e.g. Arrow Keys, END, PG DN, DEL) will be dimmer than the top half of the key. I have included a picture of a section the number pad demonstrating this. For many it may not be that big a deal, but if you are particular about things like that it may be an issue for you and could be one reason to look into Romer-G switches. Regardless of the inconsistent lighting, you should have no problem seeing everything in a dark room.
As far as lighting is concerned you can opt to use Logitech's software to customize between different effects such as "Breathing," "Star Effect," "Light Wave" and things like that or if you would rather not deal with the software you can forgo some of the fancier lighting schemes and simply hold down the keyboard's Brightness Setting key while pressing numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 0 (0 is for solid) to cycle through different preset lighting schemes. It’s a pretty neat feature. The settings you select through Brightness key + numbers 1-5 and 0 should save through a cold boot. Considering my Logitech G600 mouse features a nice onboard memory that saves lighting and binding profiles, this keyboard could have certainly used something similar which for a unit that retails for $120 would have been nice to have.
FINAL THOUGHTS/OPINIONS:
This keyboard was a second choice for me as I intended to get a WASD CODE which retails for $150. The only reason I picked this Logitech up is the Cherry MX Red version was available on Amazon for $80 and I wanted to save a bit of money. Personally, I’d be reluctant to pay $100 for this keyboard and certainly not the retail asking price of $120 when for just $30 more I could have gotten a backlit board from WASD which has an even superior build quality, more choice of switches, and keycaps that are easier to replace... along with no "in your face" company logos, no media control switches (which for me are useless) and features onboard memory to easily save lighting profiles. Because of a lack of onboard memory to store lighting and key assignment profiles and because of the completely odd-ball and frankly quite annoying size of the bottom row’s spacebar which makes finding a full set of custom keycaps a nightmare, I will be removing one star.
In the end this is a nice keyboard for $80, and even while $100 would be doable it would be stretching it but I do trust the Logitech name and therefore can be pretty certain this keyboard will serve me well for the next few years, even if only as a backup. The flaws I mention are relatively minor and the quality and styling of this board far outweigh them. Personally I do not at all regret the purchase of this keyboard. If you want an easy, simple keyboard from a reputable company go ahead and pick this up and it should serve you well.
TL;DR
+Solid build quality
+Tried and true Cherry MX switches
+Backlit with five levels of brightness
+Easy to take apart (see youtube for teardowns)
+Comfortable to use
-Weird sizing for keycaps on bottom row, good luck finding a 5.75u spacebar :(
-No onboard memory to save lighting profile, key remaps, etc.
-A bit pricey considering no onboard memory, no USB passthrough, etc.
-Uneven lighting on some keys. While due to the design of Cherry switches this is not necessarily a fault of Logitech, the company could have opted to orient the keycap’s primary and secondary legends horizontally instead of vertically (e.g. as see on the backlit WASD Code) which would have provided more even lighting across the key.
Despite some flaws like a very odd sizing on the keycaps of the bottom row and lack of onboard memory to save lighting and other such profiles, The Logitech G610 Orion Red is solid board and one that I can happily recommend.

Top reviews from other countries
So, I am not a pro gamer. In fact, this Orion G610 Mx Red is my first mechanical keyboard - and I would never go back!
This little piece of heaven is more than awesome.
I got the white lighting option and I thought it would be a sacrifice not to get the RGB version, but turns out I love the white lights. It makes my setup look more clean-cut and simple. Talking about the lights, the logitech software to modify the light setting is pretty easy to use, plus I can find my logitech mouse in the same little software. Victory! The lettering/numbering on the key caps are not printed on, so the light shines through (yayyy).
Concerning the keyboard : the keys are awesome, plus German-engineered Cherry MX Red switches....I don't need to say more *add drooling here*.
The plastic DOES NOT feel cheap at all. The key caps DO NOT feel cheap at all. They are not wobbly or anything on the switches.
This keyboard is so heavy, except if you smash it while playing, I don't think it will move from its location (also thanks to the little semi-sticky rubber pads underneath it).
So, pros : cherry mx switches, heavy, does not slip, quality material, awesome light and key caps design, nice software to set the lights with game profiles available, typing feels like heaven, ready to use, nothing to install (except the light software if you want to, but not essential), price is very acceptable, volume scroll-wheel right next to your mouse hand so easy to adjust in game, and so on.
No cons. Just details : I would suggest a wrist-rest as it doesn't come with one, no key-cap puller included.

1. Keyboard
2. Documentation
No wrist rest included.
No keycap remover included, which is understandable because this keyboard isn't meant to be customised. You can try, though.
Installation:
=============
Plug and play. Optional Logitech software is available for extra customization.
Build:
=============
This is a very well built keyboard. It is completely plastic, but the premium kind of plastic. The top has a matte finish while the edges have glossy surface.
The underside has rubber feet plus height adjusting feet. Besides the default flat mode, there are two levels of height available, which is nice.
The cable is thick, braided, and very long.
The keycaps have a soft surface, and feel great while typing. The letters are clearly visible with the LED turned off.
There is no onboard memory in this keyboard, so settings can't be saved.
Cherry switches:
=============
This is the best part. It has Cherry MX brown switches. These switches are meant to be the best of both worlds (work and play) with a tactile bump and not as loud as blue switches. It is recommended you first research which switch is suitable for you.
Multimedia keys
=============
This is the second best part of the keyboard. The multimedia keys are really great. They are not mechanical keys, are rather hard to press, but very helpful. The large rubbery volume wheel is the most useful thing I have had in ages. Other than the play/pause, stop, forward and backward buttons, there also is a brightness button and a game mode button.
The game mode button simply locks the windows key when pressed.
The brightness button, besides adjusting brightness, can also be used in combination with the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 0 to cycle through various lighting effects. There are 4 levels of brightness, the first being maximum and the last being LED off.
Macro keys:
=============
F1 to F12 key macros customisation is available. You will need the software, though.
I dislike:
=============
When the computer is turned on, the keyboard does the wave-like LED animation. Some may dislike it.
Logitech software has something that tries to monitor CPU temperature. It might be nothing, but some, me included, may not like 3rd party software accessing their computers' core hardware.
Final words: This is a solid, well built mechanical keyboard with the best variant of Cherry MX switches. Looks elegant and minimalist, which is just what I was looking for. The 'click' feels great, the media keys are convenient, and is built for gaming too.
