It also feels great in gaming, the tactile actuation of the brown switches allows precision that you just cannot get with average membrane or even cherry reds.
The board is really solid, and pretty heavy - which I like a lot. Might be the heaviest board I have ever had. Has an expensive and durable feel. The thick threaded cable is a nice have, and for me, my machine is on the left, so no issue there. However I do not expect it would be an issue for me personally even if my machine was on the right. Cable is long enough to manipulate.
The board has a really understated and professional look. Matte black with white lettering, Rosewell logo is blacked out, slightest red outline under the key caps. It is really a beautiful board in its subtlety. Matches a more professional workstation if that's your thing. (Instead of RGB, for example)
The brown keys sound great too, if you are experienced with cherry browns, then they will be exactly what you'd expect. Nice warm full sound, even when you bottom out. The "ping" on this board is minimal. I have heard loud ping on other brown and red boards in the past. The Rosewill is pretty quiet in this regard!
The function keys for media play are convenient as well, and I find I am using them regularly. Volume, pausing audio, etc. Disabling the Windows key is nice too, as I sometimes assign macros to that key for work. Or, in certain games, I hit it by mistake. It's nice to be able to toggle the key's Windows use.
LED lights on the board are a bright blue. Angle is pretty good with the back feet opened. I personally prefer a high angle, and these do a solid job. Also for those people like me who may accidentally snap the little feet off - OR, find one foot retracted periodically - this will not happen here. These feet are very tight on their track. You can feel resistance as you move them, which is a great feature.
***Anyway, I absolutely recommend this board to anyone wanting a better typing experience generally, or gamer wanting more accuracy. But I specifically suggest it for any pro typist, coder, or related field. It really performs in that regard and makes hours of typing so much more fun and pleasant, where precision is critical.***
UPDATE: Just received the Rosewill MX Brown to use at the office. Key feel is similar to the MX Red with very little tactile feel than with MX Blue. However, the keys have less resistance and I can already see that it can be a perfect keyboard with a little dampening rings on the key caps. I actually like this one also, just very well made keyboard without many bells OR whistles. MX Brown keys actually travels further than the MX Blues but it actually have just the right amount of resistance on each key press. Very well made and quality shows throughout. I will honestly say that if you're looking for that right mechanical keyboard without the backlighting and all the frill, then this keyboard won't disappoint.
I picked this Rosewill one to use at work, where I do the vast majority of my typing. The cherry MX brown switches are quiet and no louder than the stock HP rubber dome keyboards that we have. I did install red o-rings on the keycaps to quiet the clack from the keycap bottoming out. This made a HUGE difference in typing noise. I'd say this is a must if you are concerned with keeping noise down in an office environment.
The blue LEDs can be bright, but only if your eyes are directly over them. I don't work in darkness nor do I sit hunched over my keyboard so the lights have not bothered me at all. If it's that bothersome, put a piece or two of clear tape over them to diffuse the light.
In my opinion, the reasons that this keyboard is sub $100 is due to brandname, manufacturing location, and keycaps. The letters are painted on and you can definitely feel them under your fingers as you type. This doesn't bother me much and I don't find it annoying. I've had other brand new keyboards that were like this and the paint quickly wears down to where you no longer notice it.
The cloth covered USB and PS2 cables are really neat but a bit stiff. Not a problem but know you may have to weight them down to get them to sit flat. I put a legal pad on top of mine over the weekend. It's just fine now.
I've been using this keyboard at work for three days now and I must say it is a joy to type on. It's true, you will never want to go back to rubber dome keyboards ever again.

It would be even nice if it was backlit, but not necessary if always typing without looking at the keyboard. One thing is that the keys do eventually fade (if that bothers you) since they are laser-etched. The good thing is that the key caps can be replaced with other ones (i.e. PBT ones).
Overall, I have been using the keyboard for 3 months and really like it - I feel I can type a lot faster and when using Excel, the arrow keys move very quickly and responsive.
As a keyboard enthusiast, I'm impressed with the value of this board. It's solid, has some weight to it, and the RGB is high quality. I paid $100 CAD. If you're looking for a budget board, this is it.

It’s a nice dark black with a red lining under the keys.
