I bought this to replace a Panasonic ER-GN30 I had for several years but which broke. I was never really that happy with the Panasonic as I felt like it chewed through batteries and often pulled the hair when cutting (and avoiding that is one of the main reasons I got a trimmer in the first place).My first impressions of the ToiletTree was that the build quality was somewhat better than the Panasonic. It definitely rattled less and felt more solid, but the base cap and top assembly are all still primarily plastic. The function, however, is night and day above the Panasonic. Not only has it not pulled one time, it also cuts much faster. With the Panasonic, I felt like I had to spend a few minutes per nostril, but with the ToiletTree the job was done in 10-15 seconds. It's like using a commercial lawnmower instead of a weed whacker.I took a look at the cutters (Panasonic is black, ToiletTree is white), and the design seems almost identical. It could be that the motor on the ToiletTree is stronger, so it's cutting more cleanly. Or it could be that my Panasonic was a lemon. We'll see if the ToiletTree holds up.

I bought Toilet Tree's Nose Hair Trimmer with Light back in January 2017. It worked flawlessly for all these years, but a few days ago it stopped working. I replaced the battery and tried a few other things none of which made it work. I went to Amazon to order a new trimmer and saw that there was a "Life-Time Warrantee" on my trimmer. I went to the Toilet Tree website and filled out the warrantee form and now a day later I was notified that my replacement trimmer is on the way.
It is obvious that Toilet Tree is very reputable company with a great product.

The little blade is not very threatening so I have no problem shoving this bad boy up my nose or in my ears; I mean it cuts the hairs but you don't have to worry about cuts or snags if you keep it clean.

I needed to purchase a new nose hair trimmer as the one I had used for many years finally bit the dust. After reading reviews of various trimmers offered on Amazon I was surprised by how much a trimmer costs these days and also by most of the negative reviews. It seems many of the trimmers are of poor quality and just don't hold up well over time. I decided to buy this ToiletTree trimmer.as it seemed to have the most favorable reviews.

First off, this trimmer is huge compared with my old trimmer. It really seems overly large considering its tiny trimming head and limited function. The large size does make it comfortable to hold the trimmer, though. It operates on a single AA battery (not included). The battery hatch on the bottom of the trimmer does not twist off or twist back on very smoothly. The switch to turn the trimmer on and off is large. When I first turned it on the trimmer did not work. After sliding the switch back and forth a few times it seemed to work correctly. Since then I have found the switch still does not consistently turn the trimmer on like it should. I am doubtful it will hold up all that well over time. The trimmer does do a nice job of trimming my nose hair without pulling the hair. The top is easily removed to clean the trimmer blade. The trimmer blade mechanism fell out of the top when I shook it to get the water out, but it was simple to put back in. The trimmer can be stored standing up, which takes up little space in the bathroom. The included cover fits nicely and keeps the trimmer free from dust.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about this trimmer. For as much as it costs I would expect more reliable function. When it works, it works well. But I am skeptical about how long this product will hold up over time. If it were not such a hassle for the time and cost involved I would probably return it.

I just don't know exactly how to clean it, as there are two different opinions online.

Two years update:
This sturdy trimmer has been used every other day for over two years now.
Still worked like in the very first day.
Battery last forever (a year or so). Please check your battery expiry date, as this will be the only reason to be replaced.
Unfortunately, recently I lost my trimmer head somehow. Contacted customer service and they've sent me a brand trimmer head, free of charge, free delivery.
I can't thank them enough and I'm so happy to use my trimmer again.

BTW the cleaning it's very simple: just rinse under water. Don't open or remove anything for cleaning.
