Update:Knocking a star off. Still a decent headset. Discovered a couple, to me, significant deficiencies, since my original review.1) Battery life is far lower than rated 12 hour. getting about 8, maybe. Mostly listening to podcasts.2) Lack of low battery warning. If there is one, I never heard it. The other earphones I have used all have clear warnings , usually stating '20% battery remaining' and such. I have not had any warning, and ran out of battery 2 times so far.3) the buttons on the neckband are really not logical, or marked what they do.4) battery indicator is on the other side of the neckband than the charging port. Not a big deal, just odd.5) no 'over top of ear' wire routing like others I have used. Just a preference.6) I miss having an add-on charged battery to greatly increase the use of the product without having to find a charging port. Not easy when out of the home/car.On the positive side, I have found the phone function and quality is very good. No complaints from anyone I have talked to about the sound quality on my end. Most headsets I have used were bad to very bad. These are very good. From a dead battery, I charged about 20 minutes, got about 20% battery (according to the app). I guess that is pretty good. Using the headset as i type. Battery is now 15% after about 25 minutes of use (podcast listening)Still don't like the neckband. Prefer over top of ear, tight around the head wire style with nothing on my neck.Still, the sound quality for music, when equalized using your music app, is very good. Sound and mic quality are very good for phone. The business end of this set is there.Original review below:Coming from an older pair of similar Jaybird headphones. Purchased these because they seemed similar.Seems a lot of review are doing pros and cons. Seems reasonable. Impressions below pros/cons.Pros:lightweightfits my earsfast chargingsimple controls (also a con)good sound..well..after using your music app's EQ to adjust to your hearing levelphone/mic seems very good.consdisposable product. No adding/changing batteries that I can see.during quiet songs, you can hear sound transmitted from your clothing, etc. Not terrible. Just something new and odd.non-intuitive simple controls (simple to learn, however)no app to fine tune the headphones to your hearing level and tones to your ears.out of the box, sound is flat and zero bass. using your music app like Amazon Prime Music, you can tune an equalizer and greatly improve the soundrelatively low volumenot crazy about feeling the cord on my earlobes and the band on my neck.Impressions:Not bad for the price. Initially, I thought they were horrible. Turned on the EQ in Amazon Prime Music, which fixed that ! Out of the box , the sound is unimpressive, to say the least. Not crazy about the semi-rigid band. I liked the all wire of the Jaybird, as you could have it conform to your head with no movement for a real nice fit, making you even forget you had them on. These, you always know you have them on, as you can feel them on your earlobe and on your neck.Even with the annoyances, will give it 5 stars. Will revisit the review if there is any significant updateNutshell, they are almost identical to a $15 set I have, in all respect except these do sound a lot better. Is it worth the price... ehhh I don't know. As I listen to music writing this, I am liking them a LOT less than my old Jaybird Freedom. The sound quality (after setting up the EQ) is better, however, but the neck band is getting more annoying

Theses headphones have lasted me a year and they have finally started to lose hearing in the other bud slightly, not big enough to cause me to buy new ones but enough for me to notice , probably because I’m kinda careless at times but if you were to be careful with them I’m sure they’d last even longer. The sounds good, perfect for people who can’t keep wireless head buds without losing them and the wire isn’t uncomfortable either, battery life lasts me thru the day too. Only they dont charge within 15 mins like implied but give it 30 mins and it should be at 100% . Comes with 3 different sizes of the rubber part that goes on the headphone excluding the ones it comes with already and a very small wire to charge them. I used a different wire just to make my life easier but the small one is still usable. Besides thats I would definitely recommend 👍👍

When I'm on the go, at work, or just casually listening around the house these have been my go to headphones for a variety of reasons.

Sound: They sound just fine. Not great, but not so bad that its too bad to listen to your favorite songs. I use Sennheiser HD600s at my desk and these are no where close but for a cheap set of bluetooth headphones they are totally passable. I normally listen around half volume which is plenty loud at least for me. Full volume is painful, I see other reviewers complaining about the battery life at full volume and I have to wonder what their hearing is like.

Battery: These will get me though a 12 hour shift, admittedly not listening to music the whole time and through a few hours of YouTube or TV when I get home. They charge extremely quickly too when the battery gets low. If I forget to charge them over night I can throw them on the charger for a few minutes at work and be fine for the rest of the day. The USB C port is annoying, I have an iPhone so I have to have two cables, but I also carry a USB C external SSD so I just use the cable from that with my laptop.

Noise isolation: These things SHINE at passive noise isolation. Its like you have reusable earplugs in that just happen to have drivers. I work on cars a lot and work in a machine shop, so hearing protection is something I need to be wearing most of the time and something I want to have easy access to at all times. If I don't have my beats in my ears they're around my neck almost all day so if I'm about to do something I think will be loud, blowing out a hole with an air hose for example, I can throw them in my ears in seconds and have a decent level of protection. I wouldn't use these at a gun range but for me on a daily use basis they work great.

Fit and comfort: When I'm running or working under a car the neck part likes to fall off. To get around this i put the headphones on upside down, with the usb port facing up, and then cross the ear bud cords in front of my neck so they still go in their respective ears. This is not how I normally wear them but it does work if I find myself in that situation. I had a set of airpods and they kept falling out of my ears, I switched back to these tethered style earbuds after one of my airpods fell out of my ears into a coolant tank. These stay in all day no problems because the majority of the weight is around your neck and not hanging out of your ears.

Only part I dislike is the magnet in the buds, It attracts metal and gets stuck to stuff if you lean over. I don't think they're necessary but that's a monitor complaint.

The Apple W1 chip works great with all my Apple products—makes it really easy to seamlessly use the same headphones with my phone, laptop, AppleTV, or Apple Watch. Previous Bluetooth headphones could only sync with 2 at a time and it was mildly inconvenient to go to Bluetooth settings when I was changing devices. Headphones work great at the gym or going for a run. Sound quality is good enough for watching a movie (I normally listen on our klipsch speakers in surround sound, but sometimes my wife doesn’t want to hear Dune play again). These were half the price on Amazon (~$35) than they were in stores. They’re worth full price.

So….Conclusion is…I really like these earphones.

Fit: These fit in my ear well. You do have different size ear tips. Find the one that allows it to sit in your ear comfortably and that reduces outside noise.

Sound: Contrary to what some people post, these earphones are plenty loud. I found that the maximum volume is different depending on what app you are using. Apple music will blow out your ears…YouTube is loud but nowhere near that volume.
The bass, treble, and midrange are fine. As a matter of fact they are better than any other budget bluetooth earphones I have owned. I have owned several. I suppose if you are an audiophile you might not agree but I would ask why you would expect high premium sound from a 49 dollar pair of earphones?

Durability: These seem fine to start with but not really rugged. Time will tell. Not water resistant. Don’t wear these in the shower or rain and you will probably be OK. If you are an excessive sweater….well….you could potentially have issues, I guess.

Controls: Fairly easy to figure out but if you have large fingers they can be a bit of a pain in the ass. Still, they are usable.

Battery life: Wow! These things last a long, long time once charged. I get more than 14 hours at higher volume. Another thing is how much quicker these charge than anything I have used to date.

If you are not expecting the audio performance of 200+ dollar earphones, these are well worth buying.

Bout these I think mid 2022 and they still work just as new. Use them when I’m working, shopping, cleaning, cooking, and at the gym when I want to get things done. I have kept it on the lower volume because it WILL play music loud. It is noise canceling even at one of the lowest volume comes with different ear buds in case you want to change it. Connects easily. Charges fast. 10 minutes charging=1hr. Comfortable and lightweight. Great quality and will be almost 2 years and still functions the same as day one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great earbuds for sports

I love these earbuds and they've become my go-to for hiking/backpacking, skiing, running, & horseback riding. I really like that they have the cord that loops behind your neck so that if they fall out of your ears you don't lose one. My favorite feature has to be the magnets on the back of the earbuds so that you can snap them together like a necklace - it automatically shuts off the earbuds and lets me switch quickly and easily without worrying about losing them or having to pack them away in a charging case or something every time I take them off. Because the battery/bluetooth is in the cable part not the earbuds, they're more like the size of wired earbuds and so they're really comfortable to wear to bed or under my ski helmet since they don't stick out. Battery life is great, really easy to connect to my iPhone or my Garmin smartwatch, and I love how when you quick connect them to iPhone you get a battery status update. They aren't great at noise cancellation and the sound quality is good but not great, but they're my go-to for any kind of active/athletic activity.

We now have 2 sets in our household. Not as easy to loose as other ear buds. Super comfy, a just take them off and let them sit around you neck when not using and they maybe magnets at the buds so the click together.

Easy to link up via Bluetooth between two people (sharing them), we have a teenager who likes to steal them and use them when we aren’t.

Cancel outside noise and excellent sound quality.
We now have them in both black and white and will probably get a third pair.

If you are looking for a higher quality wireless earbud try these. I would be very surprised if someone was disappointed with them!
