39 customers mention17 positive22 negative

Customers are mixed about the temperature and humidity sensor. Some mention it's an awesome sensor that reliably reports temperature and moisture values in HomeKit. It's great for monitoring the temperature of any random location, and good enough for tracking bathroom humidity. However, others say that the temperature sensing is erratic, and the sensors go offline constantly. Additionally, the sensors frequently stop communicating with the hub, requiring them to be detached from the hub.

"...however one the temperature & humidity sensors and the door sensor would not stay on-line...." Read more

54 customers mention14 positive40 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the battery life of the humidity meter. They mention that it drops 30% in around a month and a half, and 50+% in less than 12 days. The small coin cell battery drains quickly, and the readings seem to be dropping steadily.

"...Update: Ordered a second sensor and it came with a dead battery. I happened to have a new Energizer CR2032. Everything works fine...." Read more

"...Like many have said, the battery life is very bad. After six weeks the battery is down to 34%. When they die, they are done for me...." Read more

"...Battery life is about one year in my use scenarios EXCEPT where I have placed them in cold environments (winter)...." Read more

"The battery life on these isn't that great. The compact size is nice, but I don't think the device needs to be as small as it is...." Read more

43 customers mention12 positive31 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the connectivity of the humidity meter. They mention that the battery gets wet and loses connection. The connectivity is unreliable, and the devices did not remain paired. The Zigbee connection is weak, and devices are offline and no longer connected to the system. They also say that the humidity sensor is picky about how it connects, and prefers a direct connection to the user's device.

"...I was able to get mine connected and reporting values BUT it won't stay connected for any significant amount of time...." Read more

"...n't stay connected in several different locations but never could get it to stay connected for more than about an hour...." Read more

"...: I'm using a custom IDE on a Smartthings V3 hub and I am experiencing zero disconnections...." Read more

"...It seems to be picky about how it connects, preferring a direct connection to your hub rather than working through a repeater..." Read more

I bought these because I'm an idiot. I unplugged my chest freezer in the garage so I could pressure-wash the floor. I forgot to plug the freezer back in and a week later, discovered a smell. A bad smell. Threw away $300 of food due to my idiocy. So I bought these 6 months ago and am convinced my problem will never happen again.I EASILY paired these with my Hubitat hub, built a custom tile that displays on my wall to show the temp of my chest freezer, and my 2 refrigerators (and hell, kegerator while I'm at it). If the temp dips below a certain temp (based on fridge vs. freezer) for X minutes, I now get a text and verbal notifications in smart speakers in my house. These have enabled many more layers of protection to me from either making another stupid mistake, or hardware failure. The tape hasn't failed in 6 months, either.Regardless, after 6 months, still on original batteries, they are accurate with temp, and reliable. These are awesome.
