Overall, this thing is awesome. it has docking station ports for all your devices and cleans up your cables nicely. My biggest complaint is the size of unit itself. The newer ultrawide screen monitor bases are bigger and too big for this stand. wish they had a couple of sizes. It works though and I'm keeping it. I would recommend just double check your dimensions of my monitor base.

Generally I trust Anker as a brand to produce products that I know will work. However, “12-in-1 functionality” feels like false marketing to me, since you really don’t get that much utility. Though it works perfectly fine, for the price tag, it’s not worth it.
- if you use more than one screen, (which nearly everyone does these days) all this dock does is keep your desk marginally more organized.
- There is one HDMI port, and no VGA or DisplayPort. Granted, those are old tech now, but are key if you have a multi screen setup or older monitors
- most computers/laptops have one or two USB-A ports, which are generally only used for a wireless receiver for a keyboard/mouse, so having a couple extra USB-A ports isn’t super helpful
- It has an SD card reader, which many laptops no longer have. (Likely for good reason, because no one aside from photographers with fancy cameras has used them since 2005)
- There’s an Ethernet port. Why??
- charging mat for your phone is a plus
- 3 extra USB-C ports ARE useful if you have a USB monitor, or charge your laptop via USB-C

I want to love this device but I was not able to get it to work. It charged my laptops without difficulty but it never connected any of the devices. I stated simple with the HDMI port and the computer never found the monitor. Everything was connected correctly. My cheap dock worked out of the box. I’m not sure what caused the issue.

Very expensive item. Worked well at first. After only 3 months of usage it stopped working. It not longer turns on. Very disappointed as initially it worked well and seemed like it was good quality. I was unable to get a replacement through Amazon! For this price range you'd expect the product to last. Really disappointed! Don't waste your money!

This is expensive but when you consider that you are essentially buying a dock, the price makes sense when you compare dock prices. I was able to get it working such that I only need to connect the dock to my Dell thin client with just a USB C thunderbolt cable (that is included). Monitor, wireless mouse and keyboard USB A, all connect via the dock. Don’t even need the power brick for my laptop anymore.

This form factor is brilliant and more companies should do something like this. It makes it so easy to hide wires, it looks good, and makes docking easy and fun.

The one issue that gets to me is one that is likely attributable to something about the Mac I'm using, but regardless it's annoying. There seems to be no easy/reliable way to wake my Mac from sleep when connected to this thing. Sometimes it's very quick (I don't expect instant), sometimes it just sits there and nothing wakes it and I need to 'coax' it awake by turning it off and on, opening the laptop, pressing a bunch of buttons, etc. I just wish I could press a button and have the thing come on.

I'm removing a star because the reliability of this thing is bad. Twice now I've had to get the thing replaced because it randomly stopped working. I thought maybe I was super unlucky but a friend I recommended this to just had the same thing happen. A lot of promise to this thing but super annoying that it breaks for no reason every few months.
