I bought two of these for use as baby monitors. They work occasionally. Then they do something on their end and all you see is a loading screen. For days on end. And it'll just sit there flashing orange. Customer support....not open weekends. I'm glad my babies survived. Fortunately I had a backup. I wish they worked... But they don't. Buy anything other than these.

I read the reviews and purchased the Withings home simply because I didn't want another thing to carry around. We had so many issues with the product at first. It would randomly disconnect in the middle of the night and the error indicator lights would wake our child up (it flashes red). We had problems connecting to view the video from our phones. It was frustrating.

Customer sent us a new power cord which resolved some of the disconnect issues. We are definitely happy with the Withings support.

As far as using the app on the phone, we now get alerts as expected. The video connection always works. the latency has definitely improved. The playback of events still lags a little bit, but we rarely use those.

I bought this unit because I liked a lot of the extra things this product did. I can now say that I am happy that it truly works as advertised.

DO NOT BUY THIS AS A BABY MONITOR.

I've had the unfortunate experience of buying one of these as a baby monitor and these were completely useless, unreliable and dangerous.

It cuts off throughout the night and day, requiring constant resets which is incredibly dangerous since we use it as a baby monitor. What's the point of a baby monitor if it can only monitor for 30 minutes before shutting down or stopping the stream.

How do you expect us to have peace of mind, when the "Baby Monitor" can't even stay on the entire night.

Customer service was a nightmare and completely helpless. Following a long and painful process of troubleshooting the device, which included resetting the thing constantly, they then figured out that there were issues with the power supply adaptor and they offered to send out a new one. BUT WAIT, unless you live in UK, EU, U.S., Canada and Mexico, you're out of luck.

Yes, they cannot send you a replacement because for some stupid reason, wherever Withings is based, they don't seem to have the capability to post something out to Australia. Maybe their postal service isn't all that developed. And yes, these Baby Monitors are sold at Australian retail outlets too, so who knows how those managed to sneak their way into the country.

After grilling them on their incapability to ship to Australia, their robotic and useless customer service agents then decided to ask me to perform yet another factory reset.

By then, I gave up, and Amazon were nice enough to allow me to return this, even though it was out of the returns window (I had bought this when we were expecting).

Forget about buying this rubbish baby monitor. We ended up going with a Nest Cam, which has been absolutely reliable.

I have the older model and love it. We purchased this one for our newest edition and i have been very frustrated. The image is great but the functions don't work. It constantly alerts me that our air quality is poor. I have a different withings product next to it and it never reports an issue. It also cuts off the music after a few minutes no mattter what you do. Withings says the issues will be fixed shortly. It's been a few weeks and it's still not fixed. For the price, I would expect all of the functions to work and if updates were needed then they would happen in a timely fashion.

Works fairly well. It is a little slow to capture things. For example my child was pulling himself out of his crib and it never caught how he was doing it. It would only capture after he was on the ground screaming. Also if the internet goes out it is off line.

I was trying it in an area that had very good internet on my phone, and it was hard wired. The time it took to connect was too long. Even when I was connected already, listening in the background, it took kind of long to connect.
I also assumed part of air quality would be temperature. I don't know why I assumed that. Probably because every other monitor I could find that mentioned anything about the air included it? I'm not sure. But that was a disappointment.
I was also annoyed that it doesn't hold much of a position other than a few degrees up/down. I kept finding myself needing to position the entire base at an angle to point it down enough. And since it just sits there, it's easy to bump it and have it move. I'd rather have something mounted.

I gave it 3 stars. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

The notifications are sensitive- it notifies us "sound detected" every time the dog barks... so... that's a little annoying... but at night when we need it for baby sound detection, the dogs don't bark, so it should be fine.

This product is very disappointing. I had the old withings baby monitor and it was fine - not amazing, but it worked well 90% of the time. I realize the company moved its focus to home safety and the baby monitor feature is secondary...but some things just don't make sense. Why would you put a flashing light on the camera if it disconnects? One uses the camera to see things WHEN HE/SHE IS NOT PRESENT, therefore no one is there to see the flashing light. If using this as a baby monitor, it conveniently flashes non-stop until the baby wakes up from the light. The camera also only works if plugged in and the cord to plug it in is rather inflexible...so when you want to position the camera in a particular way, you have to hope you can get the wire just right or it moves the camera. Did anyone test this product? Clearly not. But I saved the best for last...the camera constantly disconnects and says "loading" and will often just disconnect completely from your phone (triggering that lovely flashing light). when you try to reconnect Bluetooth, half the time it doesn't work even if you're standing right next to it. You have to disconnect and reconnect the plug - amazing feature for a baby monitor. I would not recommend this at all - it's more frustrating than it's worth.

Wenn das Teil funktioniert, ist es ne gute Sache! Das ist mittlerweile unsere dritte Kamera von denen! Zuerst hatten wir 2 Babykameras, bei der ersten ist das passiert, was jetzt auch passiert ist! Sie hat sich selbstständig aus unserem Netz getrennt und keine Möglichkeit sie wieder anzumelden!
Bei der zweiten hat es von vorne rein nicht wirklich funktioniert, sie hat sich immer wieder aus dem Netz geschmissen; wir konnten sie durchs resetten wieder in Betrieb nehmen!
Der Nachfolger ist die Homecamera, nur das sie diese beiden Plastikbandarollen noch hat! Hätte man auch dazu schreiben können!
Dadurch zeigt die neue Version der Kamera keine Temperatur an, Nachtsicht nur bei Bewegung!
Zur Babyüberwachung daher auch weniger brauchbar!

After researching many baby monitors Withings home seemed a viable choice, ticking all the boxes. Yes there were quite a few negative reviews, but I thought we'd try it for ourselves and make our own mind up. In hindsight wish we'd taken the advice of others.

Unfortunately despite excellent hardware design and quality the product is fundamentally broken due to buggy and unreliable software, plus pretty poor video quality - definitely not 1080 / 720p at 30fps.

Despite a rock solid fibre internet connection (120mbs down and 30mbs up) plus a rock solid internal wifi network the camera continuously drops connection or fails to connect, requiring a a power cycle. Video feed is heavily compressed and the frame rate is a long way off the advertised 30 frames per second.

The most concerning issue is the notifications, or there lack of. Parents intending to use this as a baby monitor should most definitely avoid. Several times the app has failed or delayed to alert us to our baby's cries and movement, impromptu checks have resulted in a blank screen with a constant loading icon, or messages that the camera can't be found. Frustrating, inconvenient and dangerous.

Ca va faire 2 mois que je l'utilise. Des mise a joir de l'application mais toujours led même problèmes. Evitez fuyez!!! L'application crash tout le temps et le live catastrophique, me faut 10 minutes pour le live. Super si je veux voir mon enfant ou alors ce qu'il se passe chez moi en mok absence. de l'arnaque. d'ailleurs sur le playstore je ne suis pas le seul a avoir des problèmes !!!
