Took off a star because the A string snapped while Uke was just sitting. I hope it's just a one off, will try ordering a new set.

Took off a star because the A string snapped while Uke was just sitting. I hope it's just a one off, will try ordering a new set.
As an added benefit, these strings seem to settle down and stay in tune very quickly, especially compared to nylon. I've had them get to the point where they'll generally stay in tune in as little as 12 hours, albeit with some constant tuning during the first hour or so after re-stringing and then only moderate play after.
The A string is seeming to stretch for forever. The G and E strings are kinda good, but the C string is terrible.
I hate to keep comparing these to the same Aquila red strings I have on my concert, but I have to make the comparison. On the concert, all the strings and have roughly the same amount of tension on them. With very few minor adjustments they have been holding their tune for months now. The strings really were an upgrade over what had been on that uke. These strings however, are anything but an upgrade. the C string is sooo loose that it falls out of the nut from time to time, but the tuner says it's in tune. It's by far the flabbiest of the strings. The A string seems super tight, but is always out of tune, and needs tightening. the G and E strings are in tune, and mostly pulled tight, but the amount of play in them is double or even triple the strings that just got replaced.
So frustrating to know what one set of these strings is so good, and this set it so bad.

Have stopped using them
I like to finger pick with long nails on right hand. I like the bright and loud tone, which suits my jazz improvisations. Fun :)

I believe that the Tenor uke because of the larger size has better projection to start with so the Red Series didn't make the difference I was expecting/hoping to have. Considering the price I'd stay with the regular Super Nygut Aquila for a Tenor Uke but I would purchase the Red Series for a Concert Uke.
