Product Description
Precisely machined of brass, then nickel-plated , the Shubb Original Acoustic Guitar Capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

Precision Design: The Shubb C1 Standard Series Capo is a masterpiece in precision engineering. Its sleek design not only looks fantastic but also ensures a snug fit on my acoustic guitar, allowing for perfect intonation every time.
Operation: You do need to change the tension with a knob depending on where you need it placed on the neck of if switching instruments, but that leads to a longer lasting device that also protects your instruments.
Durability: The C1 is built to last. The high-quality materials used inspire confidence in its durability, ensuring that it can withstand the demands of regular use without compromising performance.
Versatility: This capo adapts seamlessly to various neck profiles, making it a versatile accessory for different acoustic guitars. Its ability to maintain consistent pressure across the fretboard enhances the overall sound quality.
Overall Impressions:
The Shubb C1 Capo has become my go-to acoustic capo. While the adjustment knob is an extra step compared to spring tension capo's, this should prolong the product life and provides a steady pressure across the neck as desired.
Tuner is great. Works as it should and comes with a battery installed.
The mechanical design is brilliant, and marvelously simple.
However, for my Taylor 615, it appears that the radius may be slightly off and the clamping bar seems just a TINY bit on the short side. My bass E string seems to get pulled slightly sharp, and if I'm not very careful about positioning, one or the other of the outside strings will slip out from under the rubber on the bar when I start playing.
Once I readjust the tuning with the capo on, I seem to be able to move it up and down the neck without further retuning, but the higher up I go, the easier for the outer strings to miss the bar. I have to retune when removing the capo again.
I was really hoping the radius would be spot on, and that with careful clamping force adjustment, the capo wouldn't pull the guitar out of tune. So though this capo is very nice, I'm still searching for my "perfect 5."
