Customers are mixed about the ease of rolling. Some mention that the wheels are cool in that it's easier to roll it over the sand, while others say that it will not glide over soft san. Customers are mixed about the sturdiness of the stroller. First, the portability of it -- folds small, and flat, doesn't weigh much at all, and so it's out of the way when not using it, and doesn't take up a ton of space needed for other things. So, compact and lightweight, very cool!
Deployment? SUPER simple! Loved it! Just folds out like a stroller, basically, and, if you had the large wheels off to make even more room when it wasn't being used, they go on quickly and easily, just put the rod on, wheel on each end of the rod, a clip on each wheel, and the big wheels are ready to roll.
How about versatility? I was amazed again, and, despite feeling like an infomercial at this point, ahahaha, the reality is that it just really is the coolest beach carrier ever. You can use the big bag that comes attached, to load it up with smaller stuff and keep it all contained, or not use it, and just stack stuff up like it's a dolly, or do a combination. And it holds a LOT. And it's VERY sturdy -- we had it loaded with a cooler, firewood, a couple of backpacks and a couple of beach chairs and it performed without a hitch.
Sand crawling skills? Well, as some have said, it gets stuck -- but that's only if you push it instead of pull it. For sand, you tilt it back so it's just on the big wheels, and pull it along behind you, and, BAM, works super smooth, and doesn't get stuck.
Overall, outside of the invention of the cooler, this has gotta be one of the BEST creations for beach or camping trips. Instead of ten trips, you just take one -- load up the Wonder Wheeler and shoulder up whatever else, and off you go. Set up camp, enjoy, and when it's all over you aren't taking a bunch of stumbling trips in the dark -- just reload your cart, and back to the car or hotel.
I LOVE THIS CART!!!!!!!!!!!!! From now on it's a permanent part of any beach trip, camping trip, or even to a convention or any place you have gear or supplies to haul.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!
We also used it to transport stuff to the condo so it had hold some weight as well.

Wide vs Thin rear wheels - For those of you that have never had one of these, when you are on a hard surface you push it like a shopping cart but when you get it to the beach you pull it on the rear wheels. We had hoped the wider wheels would make it easier to pull across soft sand but we experience little if any improvement. The down side of big wheels is it takes more room when packing your car.
This version has a little removable bag between the handle and the main net. We found this to be the biggest improvement. No more digging to the bottom of the net for those small items like a bottle of sun tan lotion. One of the 2 bars on which the bag is hooked to moves, so you can loosely close the bag which helps keep out sand and rain but it is by no way water/sand proof.
Pocket & strap to hold umbrella - Good idea but they mounted the pocket too close to the front wheel so it interferes the ability to steer when pushing the cart.
Improvements I wish they had made:
- The front wheels are still flimsy and the chairs/umbrella interfere with steering. A small plastic shield/fender over the front wheels would solve the latter.
- Sure would be nice if the bar that holds the chairs was longer to fit more chairs.
- Continue to look for better rear wheels that reduce drag on soft sand.
In the end, even with it's flaws, these carts are great and I would never go to the beach without one. Just keep your expectations in check. It will not glide over soft sand and you will load the cart carefully to maximize what you get on it while minimizing front wheel interference.
