Great for handholding DSLRs for video
I have only had the tripod for a couple of weeks, so I can't yet say how it will hold up, but it is very compact and serves its purpose. When closed, the handle is comfortable enough and when open, the tripod will support my DSLR (Canon 80D with lens).Pros:- The locking ball head is very easy to use and with a quick flip of the latch, you can adjust the camera, then snap it back to lock it in.- When closed, the handle is small and comfortable to hold.- Very small and light. Easy for keeping with me in my camera bag, and doesn't add weight to holding the DSLR- From my pictures, you can see that the ball head locks securely enough to hold a DSLR (Canon 80D) with a rather large lens.- When open, the tripod is able to support the same camera (tested with my biggest lens) even when zoomed all the way in. It does get a little scary to balance here, but as long as you make sure one of the legs is in line with the lens, you should be ok.- The design can accept and hold an Arca Swiss adapter like the one in my photo: Desmond DAC-60 60mm QR Clamp 3/8" w 1/4" Adapter & Level Arca-Swiss Compatible for Tripod Head Quick Release which I highly recommend.Cons:- If you have a lens any bigger than the one I tested (Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras), then you might be a little reluctant to stand it on this. And even then, the ball head may begin to sag at that point.- Not sure how long it will last, as the legs are made of plastic (however, everything above the legs is made of metal)- Because the tripod is so short, you probably couldn't use it for photos or videos without getting some of the table (or whatever the tripod is on) in the shot. I suppose you could put it near the edge of the table though (if putting your expensive camera at the edge of the table doesn't freak you out too much)Conclusion:This thing works great to hand hold my DSLR as a video camera. Having it be a mini tripod is just a bonus for me, but a welcome one. It has been able to accommodate even my largest lens just fine. It is a bit short, which means you will need to be careful not to get the table in your shot. To add to this unit's convenience, I would recommend getting an Arca Swiss adapter to make attaching your camera faster and easier. I would recommend this tripod to anyone looking for a versatile solution to handhold their camera. I probably would not recommend it to someone who needs it primarily as a tripod since it is too low to the ground to be useful. If that's what you want, there are other, taller, table-top tripods which would probably better suit your needs.

Not expensive, but decent build quality. It's made of a sturdy plastic and has hard rubber inserts along the legs. The quarter-inch tripod screw is metal. The legs flex a bit, and the lock on the ball head tends to shift the camera position slightly — so a bit of care is required to get the image framing you need when using it as a tripod. The bubble level is reasonably accurate and visible when a small camera is attached. I bought this product to use (when folded up) as a vertical grip for compact cameras, with the option to open the legs if I need to set it down. I have small hands and find this a comfortable fit. I also have used this as a desktop tripod for informal shooting (mostly testing). It works well for compact cameras and smaller mirrorless cameras with small prime lenses attached. With larger cameras/lenses, it is unstable. The protective cap for the screw, with its integral loop for carrying, is quite clever, though I don't know if I'll end up using it. I'm giving this 4 stars for being useful and for the price to quality ratio.

I use this with a smaller Canon camera SX230 that is also an HD Video camera. The Tripod comes with a a standard tripod/camera stud and attached to my camera without issue. The tripod head is moveable and includes small leveling bubble. The three legs are not height adjustable to the floating head allows the use to level the camera when the surface the tripod in on is not so level. The three legs open easily (with some resistance so they don't flop around) and seem hold the camera sturdily. When the three legs are pulled together it makes for a great "selfie stick" or for me it made taking video much easier, especially when moving about. I like the tripod and for people who have small video cameras such as a Sony Action Cam or a GoPro, this makes a very nice and versatile tripod. I did not try it but I think it is constructed well enough to work with most DSLR's as well. Overall construction seems good and with some care It will last a long time...or at least until cameras are so small you don't need one of these.

Holds my Canon EOS M50 well. It's a good little "vlogging" stand that is convenient to hold. It can be quite useful as well for some filming shots on my desk, but mostly good for walking about with my camera mounted on it. The clip/fastener on the side seems to be holding up well and doesn't shift too much - I'm not sure how much weight it can take before it no longer holds, but I think it could take a little more weight...not too too much more though ^-^

5.0 out of 5 stars Best little tripod I have ever bought
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 20, 2019
As the title suggests, this beauty is the best small tripod I have ever bought and believe me, I've bought loads over the years. I am a semi pro travel photographer and have been for over 30-years. During that time I have travelled the world and to date have visited over 100 countries and literally thousands of destinations. Well that's some background which should confirm my credentials and hopefully make you believe that I know what I am talking about - photography wise at least!
Although I have been trying for years to get manufacturers and distributors to send me products to test and keep for free, all reviews that you read that I have done on Amazon are completely unbiased and the products have been purchased by me.

So what is it that makes the iGadgitz PT310 Mini Lightweight Table Top Stand Tripod and Grip Stabilizer, in my opinion, stand out from the hundreds of mini tripods that are out there and what does this tripod excel at? Plus, what is it that I have been searching for, that up to now has not passed my high standard of requirements?

Ok - well lets first tell you what equipment I use, how I use it and explane what up to now has been somewhat of a problem regarding camera stabilty etc.

Historically, many moons ago, I used heavy pro grade 35mm film SLR'S, from Nikon and Canon, which were superceded by their DSLR equivalents. As mentioned, I am mainly a travel photographer, however, that can and does embody all styles of photography from Landscape to Portraiture and everything in between, such as night, street and celestrial, not to mention macro and super telephoto spy-like candid shots.

My equipment now, apart from DSLR's, encompasses an excellent Sony RX compact, 2 x Olympus EM1 micro 4/3rds mirrorless and the marvelous Nikon P900 bridge with 24 -2,000mm onboard lens (now superceded by the P1000 with 24-3,000mm lens)

Whenever I can, both for photography work and relaxation, I take a cruise and more than often book a cabin with a balcony.

What I have been searching for is a mini tripod that is very stable, even when used with a DSLR and one that I can use to add stablility by resting it, whilst attached to a camera, on the balcony rail. Ship rails are quite wide and thick and all tripods I have used before just sit on the top.

So that's one plus for this tripod as the legs open wide enough to straddle the rail and the inner rubber sleaves stop it from moving.

The second plus is when all the legs are in the upright position they act as an extension to the camera and when held add to the stability and allow some side to side movement. When held above, with camera attached, it is an easy task to take images above peoples heads in a crowd, or to get a a high perspective shot.

Third plus is the weight of the unit, which is brilliant and adds little to the overall weight of your camera gear.

Fourth is the versatility - i.e. it can be used with most cameras, from a mobile phone (with 1/4 tripod screw attachment), right up to a mid-range DSLR, such as the Nikon D5000 range (maybe even the 7000 range as well). iGadgitz themselves quote up to 1.5K, but the tripod itself in the straight up position will i think support all DSLR's, even pro ones, however, especially with a long lens attached, there could be a weight problem, when pointed down or up. That said, under the head unit are two screws, which can be tightened more than standard, which makes the unit grip the metal ball better, but don't overtighten!

Finally - the cost. At just over £13 its a real bargain and should not be missed.

Oh, nearly forgot, the screw on wrist strap, both negates the likelihood of the screw scratching anything in your camera bag and could be used in someway to transport? In any event, it shows just how much thought had gone in producing this product and I certainly will look out for other items they make.

5.0 out of 5 stars Igadgitz Mini - La buena calidad del Producto.

Product of a good quality in general, highlight the robustness and design.
Very practical in all respects, I have tried it with several cameras and it has supported the weight of the same without problems, the bubble that it incorporates for the leveling is very good, it makes our photographs come out level, once closed the tripod is very ergonomic making it very practical when carrying it on, also highlighting its head 360 degrees works perfectly, the system of fixing the head consists of a loop that makes pressure on the ball of the shaft that has inside.
This tripod combined with a robust Selfi stick that has rock on the bottom, becomes a very practical foot monkey.
The hardware of the legs and all the very good parts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Très bien

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Stativ für unterwegs
Reviewed in Germany on January 11, 2017
