Product Description
Pedal Power ISO 5 is an isolated power supply for powering guitar pedal effects and accessories. It's the ultimate compact solution for smaller pedalboards, rack shelves, or even as an additional power supply for larger boards. With five isolated, filtered and regulated output sections, ISO 5 keeps even the most sensitive vintage and boutique analog pedals dead quiet. Pedal Power ISO 5 includes a high-current output which will properly power modern digital power-hungry effects like those from Eventide, Line 6, and TC Electronic. There's also a dedicated 18V output for those pedals which need the higher voltage for extra headroom. Designed to meet the needs of professional users, Pedal Power ISO 5 will provide clean, consistent power, even with the poor AC line conditions often found on stage. Completely isolated output sections eliminate ground loops and unwanted interactions between effects, resulting in lower noise and noticeably improved tone.

Over the years I have tried a number of similar products (including one-spot), and have had to buy (and subsequently lose!) lots of individual power supply units for pedals.
The Power 2 Plus sounds way better than individual PSUs and one-spot style IMO. Greatly reduces noise, which is huge for me. It's small and well built, with mountings available for various pedal boards. It's easier to plug in to the outlet (PC style power cable).
And with fewer parts, you're less likely to misplace stuff at the gig. That said, probably some kind of board or carrying apparatus should still be used.
10/10 for me. These are very nice units
It is so versatile. You even have a couple outputs with a power sag feature. I wish the cables were a little longer but they work just fine. I Just have to be careful when moving my board around. This thing is too big to mount so having a little extra length would have been nice. I tested plugging my guitar directly into the amp versus running it through the board and the amp floor noise was the same. If you are going to invest in a pedal board array versus a multi effects board then you have to invest in A. A high quality power supply and B. High quality cables. As I have read, a pedal board is only as good as it's weakest link.

That is, until you actually own it.
This power source has made my power management and pedalboard situation so much better than the nightmare of cables and strips I was dealing with before. It's reduced a lot of the noise and completely changed my experience playing. Really makes an average board feel like a professional product and snugly fits underneath the negative space of most pedalbaord chassis. Get the mount as well.
Strongly recommended. Just buy it.
The reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 are the following:
-Current limits are absolutely appalling low 100mA, except for 5-6 which can go to 250mA. As more fancy Line6 and other pedals that demand more power come into to play, you'll find yourself tapped out quick and needing the more expensive Pedal Power DIGITAL model. My RC30 looper pedal needs almost 200mA, so even that is borderline. For comparison, my 3 isolated power channels can do 1-2amps (I have it fused to 2amp) per channel thanks to nice heat sinks and a robust fan. The size of mine is not much bigger than the pedal power 2.
-What's with the short cables? 18" is not enough for most pedal boards even if you put the the supply in the center (and I don't want to do that). I ended up making my own cables. Perhaps if you have the kind that goes under the board you're ok, but I don't have one like that and neither do other people. Voodoo labs does carry longer cables (24" and 36") on their website. There are not decent quality right angle plugs sold anywhere(at least I haven't found them). Otherwise I would make my own cables.
-Only 6 right angle cables? Who even uses the straights anymore? With the cost of pedal board space so high, it makes no sense. More cables please!
-It really would benefit from a power switch in my opinion. I guess people put this in a place that can't be reached? But still. A switch would be nice.
-Pricey. Look, I know you have to pay to get good stuff, but this this too much. A lot of other good isolated supplies out there are being made and not nearly this much. Probably is 40 overpriced.
Pros:
-Yes, there are alot of good things about this that people have already comment on. Clean power, helps cut down hiss, reliable, works well with pedaltrain (if you have one...). All true, so I won't dwell on what's already been mentioned.
-Fantastic customer service! I sent an email asking a question and they gave me a call a few hours later. They listened carefully to my problem and found me a satisfactory solution very quickly. The representative was very courteous and had excellent customer service skills. I was very impressed!
