Review

Nicholas Evans is a magician, weaving together the complexities of the digital world into a tapestry of opportunities for alert companies and managers. And like a good magician, he makes it look easy. Get started on your digital transformation with this book NOW.' --Henry Chesbrough, Professor at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Author of 'Open Innovation: The New Imperative for Creating and Profiting from Technology'.

'The digital transformation, based on vast data from cheap sensors and cloud intelligence, will enable new business models, new strategies, and new empires in all industries. Using insight and case studies, Mastering Digital Business does a superb job guiding us through the changes coming, and helping us think through not only new product and logistics strategies, but how management itself must evolve to thrive in the coming decades.' --R. Preston McAfee, Microsoft, Chief Economist.

'By their very nature, transformations require disruptive changes. Digital transformations requires companies to be in a state of constant change. Mastering Digital Business shows that successful digital transformation goes beyond leading edge technology to include disruptive business models, redesigned processes, and - most importantly - cultural change.' --Jonathan Becher, SAP, Chief Digital Officer.

This publication is a very useful topical guide with practical examples and techniques to help all in business to transform in the current transformational digital-era. It includes strong emphasis on Innovation throughout and is full of ways to create a virtue out of the 'disruptive' times we are in. A great handbook to be used at all levels and across all functions of an organisation, large or small. Great case studies and re-usable methods, thank you.

Ok - the quality of the package was not good

MDB is really grounded in the practical aspects of implementing an ongoing 'innovation' program. It has a lot of pragmatic advice. And while I am primarily focused on customer innovation in the public sector, including education and non-profits, I found Part II - Planning/Leading Innovation Programs - to be particularly useful as a framework for creating a sustainable approach. The lexicon breaks out stakeholders in a meaningful way and in a sensed demystifies the 'innovation' challenge which is now a necessity for all organizations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent study into the fast evolving world of Digital Business and how to tackle it.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 16, 2017
For the uninitiated, the subject of Digital Transformation can be bewildering in its scope and potential complexity. As someone looking to learn more about the subject, I found "Mastering Digital Business" to be excellent. Easy to follow, it paints a clear picture of the digital imperative and how to tackle the many issues raised by this new paradigm. Often, a different perspective helps make an otherwsie complexing subject understandable. This book didn't disappoint. Highly recommended!
