I got this full set for my 2019 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew3.5L Ecoboost 4x4 for $109.95, which compared to what I paid for similar covers for our 2008 Honda Pilot some years ago, is way-way less (I'm almost ashamed to admit and don't want to encourage the vendor to increase the cost). Yes, the Pilot covers were custom made and supposedly made in the US, but these are custom fit as well and pretty much the same neoprene material (which BTW held up for the Pilot very well over the years, even after machine-wash on delicate with warm water and air-dry outside).
Honestly, I had my eye on some beautifully designed man-made leather ones that were much more expensive, but when I ran into these and saw the low cost I figured I should risk it with these first. Now, I honestly didn't get my hopes high even though the photos looked decent and had nice reviews (which you can't always trust them anymore) but then what the heck -I basically had 2 options, I can always buy the other set I liked for more $ and I can either keep these for spare if they are half way decent, or just return them if they aren't even worth the $110.
Anyway, these covers were fairly easy to install (took me a couple of hours, but I am pretty meticulous and took my time). They fit great to my exact seats, with attention to detail and clearances for all of the seat features and accessories, and they look great. Now time will tell if the stitching holds up but as far as the neoprene material, it seems to be identical with the one I have on my Pilot which I got to trust after using it for years.
I was a bit upset at first after reading the manufacturer's instructions to remove the seats (as I wish they clearly stated that upfront in the product description, in which case I probably would have steered clear of them because it's not a thing I would want to do), but after looking at some other reviews and videos, that didn't seem necessary. I don't know why they say to remove the seats, because it's kind of silly and unnecessary. The only time I ran into a bit of a difficulty, was when I started installing the front seat covers and needed to fish the straps from front to back under the seats. The space is too small for my hands, and I was particular about fishing the straps close to the seat undersurface because I didn't want them to put pressure over the electrical cables and connectors or get in the way of the electric slides and motors. Fortunately, all you need is to get a 2ft piece of solid wire (see pics), make an eyelet at one end and use it to fish the straps from front to back directing them exactly how you want them. That's it, no seat removal necessary.
Anyway, I didn't initially plan to write a book here, I just got excited by how good these look on my new (for me) F150, and it's not often you run into a good product at a great sale price.

The backseat driver-side backrest cover is the biggest challenge with the install. You have to finagle the latch-lock for the seat to fold down. There's an aftermarket part for the latch that makes releasing it as easy as the passenger side rear seat. It's not very expensive and it's well worth it.
Luckily, no one has spilled anything on the covers to require cleaning, and I hope it stays that way. So, I can't comment on ease of cleaning.
Another huge plus is saving the bottom seat bolsters from being worn from sliding out of the seat, due the seat height to ground difference. You see this wear on just about every truck seat. Mainly the driver's seat.
Top reviews from other countries
I've purchased other covers prior to this, but the straps for securing have been elastic which stretch out in time. They also require periodic adjustment. I don't expect to have the same problem with these.
Rough Country makes quality equipment. I've installed their lift kits in my 4X4 trucks. They're built with quality materials and are built to last. These seat covers are no exception. Buy with confidence.
Reviewed in Canada on January 28, 2023
The rear 40% smaller seat doesn't fit exact because the straps don't really line up so you have to get creative. The front seats are a little bit challenging to get all the clips and buckles lined up properly as well underneath the seat as there are a lot of mechanics underneath the seats . It would be nice if it came with the installation "wand" to push the clips through the seats because there is a lot of back and forth back and forth to get everything to line up. I ended up using a shoe horn in the end to help me.
the pockets on the back of the seats are not really that functional, they are a little bit loose and with small kids I've discouraged them from sticking anything in the pockets because they are not snug like the actual seats beneath. If you don't tug on them or put anything in them they stay closed and it's not noticeable that they are sort of loose but I will likely be putting a stitch in them to keep them closed so the pockets don't start to gape or hang open loosely.
I spilled a little bit of coffee on one of the front covers , it did get the job done , the liquid pooled and didn't penetrate the seat beneath it; however it either did the job too well or had some sort of reaction with the liquid because the cover retained the smell of the coffee (which is bizarre because coffee doesn't usually have a lasting odor when spilled or wiped up with a cloth). The smell was so bad that finally after 3 weeks of hoping it would dissipate and avoiding taking it off because it's such an undertaking , it took us 10 minutes to get the seat cover off again and because there's so many clips and things hanging off of it and with the back pocket being a little bit loose we didn't want a chance putting it in the washing machine. I hand washed it in the bathtub , with cold water & the recommended amount of fabric cleaner... But it took SEVERAL rinses to get the suds out... It was almost as if the neoprene fabric worked like a bubble wand even when there was no bubbles in the tub and no soap poured directly on the cover it just kept foaming and foaming and foaming. We weren't able to get all the bubbles out even after letting it sit for an hour in the cold water , ringing it out was just as challenging as we were trying not to stretch it out. We managed to get most of the water out most of the bubbles then it took another 2 days to hang dry over a chair.
when all was said and done the smell was still in it so I don't know if that has something to do with some magical potion that was in the coffee or if it was a reaction with the fabric but needless to say the new truck smell is gone :(
It took just as long to wrangle the cover back on again , we were gentle while washing it so it managed to retain its shape however the smell that lingers boggles my mind ! The air fresheners that I've put in every port of the vehicle last a mere 30 days yet a small amount of spilled coffee on a brand new seat cover in a brand new truck lives on like a mother in law who comes to visit and hasn't set a date to leave .
I don't know what's in this fabric but my guess is that if the company were to douse them with something that actually smells good they might make millions of dollars selling them as air fresheners because the scent lasts on and on!
So final review is I'm happy with the fit of these, the installation was more challenging than I anticipated and a bigger job than I had hoped for so because of that I feel like I never want to take them off again (well played ) they seem to do the job if something is spilled on them but it seems that the fabric has some kind of unholy odor if it gets wet or when it reacts with certain substances . I disagree that these are machine washable unless you happen to have very nice equipment at home without an agitator as there are a lot of clips and buckles and areas of the seat cover itself that could get caught.
since they are locking decent instructions and an installation tool and took the better part of an afternoon to install, plus the amount of effort that goes into trying to actually wash them I think they are a little overpriced
I think any product that causes me more than an hour of work to install or upkeep should be priced accordingly else offer a coupon or some other incentive to warrant an amazing review. I haven't used them in the summer yet because my truck is brand new and it's winter in BC so I can't comment if they are hot or become Sun bleached. I can't really comment on durability though I can't say they are slightly finicky and I suspect they may be less durable of actually machine washed .
I wasn't able to find any others that fit my model so I defaulted to these ones however if there were any available that didn't have the amount of unsightly clips I would probably go with the ladder. If you can afford them and you need something immediately and you don't mind investing about an hour possibly more to install them then they are about a 7/10.
