It gives our kid enough support where he can stay afloat but still use his body to learn how to swim. Our only complaint would be that we did notice him getting irritation under his armpit from using this product. We have used it with a swimming shirt under it and it diminished irritation issue.

This swim jacket is amazing. We had purchased a different brand of life vest for our daughter before our vacation and quickly realized that it wasn't going to work. It was far too bulky and long for her. When we took her out into the ocean, it pushed her head back and was riding up on her. She looked so uncomfortable, and didn't want to play in the water. I noticed 2 children playing happily with their Konfidence vests on. The vests weren't riding up, and were no where near as long as the one that we had taken with us. That afternoon, I watched some YouTube videos about the Konfidence vests and quickly placed my order. It was delivered to our condo the next day. My daughter loves it. Love this jacket. We usually use a puddle jumper but he (age4) started to need something less so he isn’t depending on the puddle jumper. This vest is perfect for that. At first when I put it on him I thought it was going to be too small but it’s a perfect snug fit so it doesn’t rise up. And I love that I can start to take out some of the floats as he gets better in the water. He can definitely take it off on his own so I had to be very strict about only mom or dad can take this off and watch him way more closely than I did with the puddle jumper but so worth it for him to have more mobility and less dependency on it. It’s also not bulky at all. Almost blends in with his rash guard and looks like it’s just a part of the suit. Would buy again and again.
