I read the section in the manual about the warranty (pretty short section). There is a one year warranty on the jack hammer, but the consumer is responsible for shipping the jack hammer both to and from the manufacturer. The entire package with the jack hammer, included bits, and case, weighed about 50 lbs., too much to send overseas or across the country, and too much hassle for the time it will take.
Overall, I was impressed by the design and functionality of this jack hammer, but very disappointed that it constantly leaked oil, rendering it almost useless. I was surprised at the relatively low price to purchase this piece of equipment, but I guess you get what you pay for.
**Update: After posting my original review, I was contacted by TR Industrial. They wanted to make things right and offered to send me a new jackhammer and then cover the return cost of shipping the original. I received a new jackhammer, as promised, but the jackhammer was damaged in transit. I contacted TR Industrial again, and they were very understanding and offered to send me another one and cover the cost to send the damaged one back. I received my third jackhammer and finally had a chance to use it for another project in my backyard. I'm happy to report that it worked great - no issues. I'm very impressed with the level of customer support provided by TR Industrial. I wasn't expecting to be contacted, but they were easy to work with and made sure I was happy with my purchase. Because of this, I changed my original rating of one star to a five star review.
This tool is relatively light, probably the lightest amongst demolition hammers. I used a 40lb Makita demolition hammer. I also used a 60lb Makita demolition hammer as well. This unit weighs 30lbs. In a way, it is good for the individual that can't carry/lift heavy items, like me!
The item came via UPS in a slightly damaged cardboard box. The cardboard box was also soaked with water, from the torrential rains that northern California received at the time. Luckily the plastic case was not damaged at all.
Before use, I took the screws out and used blue Loctite and re-tightened them back, in hopes of not having loose fasteners falling out during use. Some of the screws already had threadlocker on them from the manufacturer.
The instructions are well-written. Very easy to understand, no grammatical/spelling errors. Good pictures as well. The unit did come pre-lubricated with oil in it. It took me some time to understand how to insert bits and lock them in (really different than the Makitas I have used).
I really like this unit because there is a trigger to engage the unit. That's a nice feature, as opposed to the 40lb Makita unit has a sliding on-off switch, which is difficult to engage and disengage.
This unit is weaker than the Xtremepower 3600W unit sold here on Amazon.com. But the quality of this unit is far superior. This unit, came with the chisel bit, as well as a pointed bit, tools to service the unit, oil bottle (empty), and a spare set of brushes.
4 out of 5 stars? The reason why I am giving this 4 out of 5 stars (instead of 5 out of 5) is sometimes the unit will shake and no hammering action be applied to the bit. Luckily, you only need to pick up the unit and drop it back down (on the bit) and it will start hammering again. The two Makita units I used, none ever suffered from this. We still plan on purchasing a second unit to send to my wife's family in the Philippines.

Now when a rock protrudes, I can used this tool to smash off the pieces that I want out of the way. The alternative used to be to dig a monster hole and then smash the 300lb boulder into slices and haul them away.
You simply place the chisel on the rock, push the tool to depress the bit, and pull the trigger. It takes a few seconds to smash most rocks - just be careful not to go in too far at time or you will get the bit stuck in rock.
You can pay more for a wheelbarrow - so this is a good gardening tool for Atlantic Canada. Note however, that at this price point (about $60 in China + transport on Alibaba) , it would not surprise me if oil seals eventually leak. I don't think it would last if your job was demolishing quality rebar reinforced concrete all day long.
It also comes with two bits and a quality plastic case on wheels, like a specialized piece of luggage.

However, it's great for small jobs and it comes with all the accessories to let you complete one. Even gloves.
I used this to break up some concrete to run new plumbing, it's slower than an expensive jackhammer of course, but it's much faster than a bosch bulldog rotary hammer.
Overall I have to say I'm really happy with this. When you need the kind of job I was doing done your options are to pay someone (which would have cost about $1000-$1500), rent a tool (which shifts your priorities on the job to focus only on getting one part done before the tool has to go back and that can be a problem) or buy a cheap tool. The "cheap tool" approach works when the tool is actually decent and gets the job done, like this one did. I am sure that buying this tool saved me money. I'm glad that the manufacturer built this for people like me.
