After reading “Guide on French Bulldog puppies” let me tell you the gem that is this bitter apple spray… My puppy use to nibble on everything chairs my hands the wee wee pads anything he could get his littler mouth on. But once I sprayed this on them once he licked and got the taste he instantly didn’t want it anymore.SN: It wont stop him from using the wee wee pads but it'll stop him from eating it.

I use this product on items I don’t want my cats to mess with. They don’t touch anything that I’ve applied it to. Doesn’t have a strong smell to humans.
I thought this would help with our puppy chewing on stuff but it actually made it worse. I had read reviews saying that this would help with chewing but it only encouraged her on chewing. Whatever I sprayed this on she would chew on it for hours. I’m sure this works for some dogs but just not mine. I would be mindful that it might not work for your puppy.
I have two cats at home and recently got a large houseplant that sits on the floor, and quickly found out that something needed to be done to stop them from eating the plant. I sprayed it down with this, and one cat has pretty much stayed away from it since—I'm not sure if it's because of the spray or just because he got bored of the plant, but either was it's the desired result. The other cat, however, doesn't seem to mind the spray at all! She keeps chomping away. So for that reason I give it only 3 stars, acknowledging that things like this are always dependent on the cat.
We adopted a kitten that is the terror of five counties, and who apparently has a brain the size of a guppy because he doesn't seem to learn, but spraying this on all of our electric cords has saved him from frying and us from having to replace a bunch of electric cords. It doesn't last weeks and weeks, but it does last days. And it has deterred him from wanting to chew cords, because I've noticed he avoids cords I have forgotten to spray (or respray). It has no odor, I accidentally got some in my mouth and it is bitter as hell. I have no idea what it might do to your electrical cords with prolonged use, but it seems to be a great training tool. It was a relief to find it so the kitten didn't electrocute himself.
My cat actually loves the taste of this Bitter Apple / No Chew garbage, made my problem WORSE. The order is obnoxious to me, makes me physically sick, and I certainly don't share my cat's enjoyment of tasting the stuff... which will by all means end up on your fingers too and last for days. Instead, buy "Food Grade Grease", this is non-toxic, non-petroleum, grease to lubricate things line food appliance o-rings and mix that with Cayenne Pepper... preferably with the most amount of Scoville Heat Units (SHU) you can get. The Cayenne Pepper from the grocery store is typically around 20,000 SHU and I was able to get 100,000 SHU from Amazon. The smell alone burns and unlike the tests I did with red pepper flakes or store bought Cayenne Pepper, my cat won't get within 4in of the stuff. It won't mix completely because the grease is like silicone grease, but that isn't important. The grease is just to have the Cayenne Pepper stick to any surface that is not porous, like rubber or plastic; which is what my cat loves to chew on. Because it isn't petroleum base, it won't eat the rubber or plastic after a while, and because it is grease it will never dry up. I used a Q-Tip, a small plastic disposable 1oz container (for sauces, or pizza red chili, or pizza parmesan that you get) and just smear it on whatever you don't want the cat to check. Good luck, don't let the cats win!
Our three month old pup has been mouthing everything in the house and I was desperate to to get something to help. Great price for a product that worked! We have sprayed it on rugs, our dining room chairs, our shoes, and more - no stain and no more puppy chewing!
I have used this before with other dogs and it works for most dogs. It did not work on my English Bulldog. When our new puppy started chewing on our wood furniture, it was time to give this a try with her. It has worked very well with her (a chihuahua mix). She has learned that this stuff tastes pretty bad and she mostly chews on her toys now. Shipping was fast and th packaging was good. It arrived in excellent condition.
