Have you ever called your kids to dinner to find them in front of the video games again with a glazed look in their eyes? Do you wish there was a way for your kids to have fun without involving screen time? We’ve been there, and that’s how Not Parent Approved was born!
Our goal is to see the joy of laughter during family time, have face-to-face engagement, and see our kid’s eyeballs again!

-
Not Parent Approved was created when Stacy Katz realized that she had a problem. Limiting screen time from her 8-year-old not only seemed like a punishment for her son, but for her as well.
Stacy and veteran game producer Maximina Juson created Not Parent Approved as a way to instantly engage your kids' silly side, and allow the entire family to connect with each other through laughter - all packed into an easy-to-play game.
-
Who can play?
This game is designed to get the whole family together, and is designed for 4-10 players. The hilarious prompts will get you laughing whether you're 8 or 85! Recommended for ages 8 and up. If you can read, you can play!
How long is each round?
One round lasts about 3 minutes. The first player to win 5 rounds wins the game, or raise the number to keep the fun going.
Why is Not Parent Approved Unique?
Whether it's bringing out Grandpa’s mischievous side or helping a shy middle schooler come out of their shell, laughter is the special ingredient to connecting generations.

One of the standout features of "Not Parent Approved" is its ability to bring families and friends closer together through shared laughter and inside jokes. It fosters connections and creates memories that will be cherished for years to come.
While it's designed for kids and tweens, don't be surprised if the adults in the room find themselves laughing just as hard. It's a game that bridges the generation gap, and everyone can let loose and enjoy themselves.
As a parent, I appreciate that "Not Parent Approved" keeps the focus on fun and lightheartedness while steering clear of mature content. It's an excellent alternative to screen time and a fantastic way to engage in quality family time.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a wholesome and entertaining game that appeals to kids, tweens, teens, and the whole family, look no further than "Not Parent Approved" and its Expansion Pack #2. Prepare for loads of laughter, bonding, and unforgettable moments. This game is a winner in every sense!
Small size(great for small kid hands)
Smooth finish
Clear even type
Cons:
Some cards stuck together
Small cards(bad for other sets)
Red and blue cards(bad for other sets)
So these cards are for kids and not in the black and white format of CAH. That, I knew before buying them. What I did not realize is how small the cards would be. They aren't tiny but they are smaller than standard playing cards and CAH. This is beneficial for kids with small hands, but not great if you plan on mixing them with any other sets. The colors would be hard enough to mix with other sets but the size makes it impossible to ignore the differences. I will not be returning these cards though. I couldn't mix them with other sets but the content looks better than the other kids set we own. We don't own the core set and it is unavailable right now, otherwise I wouldn't even be that disappointed about the size. I bought these because I didn't want them to sell out like the core set, and I thought I'd be mixing them with our other kids cards. I'll just have to wait a little while longer to see how much edgier this content is than our other kids card sets.
The only true complaint I have is that some of the cards stuck together like they were packaged before the coating was dry enough. The cards peeled a little while separating the ones that were stuck but it was only cosmetic and in the corners so it didn't obscure the words.
I have not play tested them but they feel smooth and sturdy enough to hold up to kids and drinks too. I'll update about content, typos, and playability for kids and adults once we can obtain the core game and play.

This game is basically boring Apples to Apples meets inappropriate Cards Against Humanity. Gameplay is exactly the same, but the subject matter is appropriate for all ages like Apples to Apples, but creative and hilarious like CAH. My family of 4 sat at the table for over an hour and full on belly laughed to tears! My 2 kids that pretend to hate each other laughed and teamed up (if you have kids like this, you know how rare that is). This is such a great way to bridge the gap between parents and teens/preteens.
Several reviews mention some inappropriate content. We didn't come across anything (my boys are 11 & 14) that was uncomfortable, but I went into it knowing we might and looked forward to make it a parenting opportunity. I won't mind if we do run into something questionable. It's a great opportunity for evaluation and discussion in an already positive environment. Based on this, I'll back up the 8+ age range from the manufacturer, if you're comfortable with it potentially being a prompt for discussion.
I'm thrilled with it. Normally, I would balk at $25 for a card game, but you can't price what we just took away from this.
