Setup is the easiest Ive seen, having been a System Administrator for nearly 20 years I can vouch for that statement. It took about 30 minutes due to firmware updates for the main unit and both mesh points. One of the mesh points needed to be unplugged and re-plugged after the firmware update but thats it. Up and running with better than expected coverage, speed, and features.
So far my favorite feature is a tie between two. The ability to pause (block) individual or groups of devices is great when you have kids and I have used it several times with ease. The other feature is the Teleport VPN feature. This beats having to pay for a service like NordVPN or others to get some piece of mind when using banking apps or other apps with sensitive information when you're only option is public unencrypted WiFi. This feature is a huge plus.
Switching between Throughput and Latency modes is one button. I have not put the "gaming" mode through its paces yet as I typically run in Throughput mode for faster speeds. I can imagine that it works just as flawlessly as the rest of the features on this device though.
This is an extremely well engineered system and I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. Its a lot of money for a home router but rest assured, you are getting your monies worth with this product. If you don't understand a lot about how wireless works or how mesh wireless works take some time to read up on it on Wikipedia so that you are not put off by the drop in speed when connected via wireless via one of the mesh points. You will never achieve your advertised bandwidth over wireless despite marketing claims. This thing handles an impressive number of wireless devices simultaneously without issue and I'm a fan for life.
I highly recommend this product.

I highly recommend this product.
I’ve had it installed for about 8-9hrs and love it. Granted, that’s not long enough for a valuable review for longevity, but what I can say, is the install took less than 10 min max. The mesh units automatically connect, no extra work on my part needed. The base unit has several Ethernet ports, so I can run cables to my other rooms/wall jacks. The app is user friendly and the graphics are awesome too.
The reviewers knocking this for no MU-MIMO... it doesn't matter. Luma has MU-MIMO and this is a vastly superior unit, even with lots of high bandwidth devices connected and streaming at once (4 HD Nest Cameras, a TV streaming native 4k content, 2 tablets using Netflix and a Google Home playing music). No stuttering, squelching or signal reduction of any kind. Netflix shows starts streaming instantly with no buffering delay.
Setup took all of 15m including 2 firmware updates. The mobile app is heads and shoulders above the competition.
Overall could not be happier.

Other things:
- Really easy to install.
- The main box itself is tiny, and the boosters fit into any wall power outlet and can be moved around to find the best location.
- It is controlled via an easy-to-use app on my phone.
- I can see every device that is on the network and we can prioritize some over others. (For example I can prioritize my work computer over someone streaming Netflix.)
- I can pause wifi to any device at any time, even remotely. (Teenagers - you'd better clean up or your wifi will be suspended! LOL.)
- There are clear indicators in the app as to the health of the wifi mesh and whether the boosters are placed too close or too far.
- There's an easy setting on the app to allow devicecs to connect without the password during a 2-minute window - I can start the 2-minute window when we have family or a friend over to allow them to easily connect to our wifi, and after that the network is secure again. I can easily monitor who is connected and kick them off if they don't belong.
We've only had this set up for a few days but so far it's been really great!
A couple of things to note, the processor is a bit slow, and I suspect this may be why the throughput was limited. My home gigabit internet was maxing out at 500-600 mbps, but when I swapped back to my older ASUS router, I was getting closer to 900-950 mbps. Due to this, i ended up using my ASUS router as the core router, and set this into bridge mode.
Another thing to note is that you are not able to add custom routes. For anyone running a home lab on a different subnet, using this as your core router may mean you won't have access into that other subnet if you need to RDP or SSH to a VM, without setting up a proxy.
If you use your own DNS server (or something like PiHole) you can't explicitly set a custom DNS address for DHCP to hand out to all your connected devices. There is a workaround though, is to set the "Internet" dns of the router to your internal DNS IP, then log into the web interface and disable "local DNS cache" which will send all requests to your DNS server. Make sure you have your upstream set to an external DNS server from your internal server. Not an issue when used in bridge mode though since your core router will issue that information.
I like how this unit's app shows the bandwidth usage for every connected device. When set in bridge mode, this information will only be available for WiFi connected devices. The 'cube' has 4 ethernet ports as well, and you want to have this somewhere centralized if you can, so the extension antennas can speak directly to that node without having to hop across each other. This will ensure the best performance for this system.
So overall, this works for me and I don't have any more signal drop on devices in my office or basement anymore, which is all i can ask for!
