Realistically these are a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Heck with 3 in a box I'm really impressed with the price and value.

The glass has a tiny bit of texture instead of baby bottom smooth. Most people would not even notice but it is different if you compare the high end glass ($20+). It means it doesn't feel exactly like the iPhone glass, but not bad.

Seems to be really rugged after a month of use. I've dropped my phone in the house twice (once sliding off the arm of the couch, and once dropped). Engineered hardwood floor and tile surfaces and no chips or dings. Not even sure if it landed peanut butter side down, but I did drop and no damage.

Lets talk about the installation. This is a really simple "drop it on and it self installs" kind of glass. The adhesive is excellent with no loose edges. I did follow the instructions for prepping the glass with the included cleaning pads, then buffing to ensure no loose dust before installing. I'm very experienced installing this type of glass but the added feature of a frame around the phone with a spot to drop on the glass so you get perfect alignment is really well done. It works and works great. In the end I got a perfect install, handled a couple of drops, and still trust the product.

Minus the minor nitpick of how soft the glass surface is (particularly for the crazy low price), I'm a very satisfied customer and will recommend to others to buy.

Perfect Protector at a Perfect Price

To be honest with you, I don't understand some of the reviews that are complaining that the protector doesn't cover the edges, or that the protector is covering the front camera. First of all, the protector has a notch cut-out that does not interfere with the front camera so if you have it blocking your front camera, you must have installed it upside down. Also, as far as the protector not covering the edges - these screens are slightly curved as you approach the edge and if the protector was any bigger, it would create a halo effect because the protector cannot adhere totally to a curved edge.

Now, I find that it covers as much of the screen as necessary and I rather have this than an annoying halo that I can't stand. There is no halo effect. The sides almost cover the visual part of the screen - just a tad less that is unnoticeable. That is all you need and it's perfect and does not interfere with the phone. You can't possible make mistake with lining it up because of the included guide that makes the install perfect. It literally covers all of the visible screen and the notch does not interfere with the front-facing camera or any of the sensors/speaker. Sensitivity is excellent - it's almost like you don't have a protector there. I've had it now for almost a month and fits well with the Spigen Tough Armor case and it should fit just about any case out there since the protector would not hit the case at the edges. It's has proven to be durable thus far after 2 short drops and no damage at all - but the best thing is that even if there was damage, you have 2 other protectors waiting for you.

At this price point of just under $9, you can't go wrong at all. This is the glass screen protector you want if you want an easy to install, no halo effect, glass protector for your XS Max. I am overwhelmingly pleased with this product.

The installation process was extremely easy. It did not take long and went on cleanly. It covered the screen perfectly and was not easily noticeable. The function of the phone was not inhibited in any way.

[Original comment] In bright sunlight it was harder to see the screen with the protector on than it was without it. It also makes the screen have a very slight matte look to it. This is probably a side effect of the anti-glare feature

[Update (Dec 9, 2019)] I no longer have the glare issue. I am guessing that for some reason I had one bad protector in the kit (see next comment). Given the positive reviews, I am also guessing this is not common).

[Original comment] I loved it at first but after some time I noticed some cracks underneath. A couple days later it was cracked. Not sure what caused it, but the phone was not dropped or subjected to any substantial hit or pressure. I was offered a refund via an Amazon gift card for my issue. I decided not to accept it a used the remaining two screens.

[Update (Oct 1, 2019)] Put the second one on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, very happy that it fit perfectly. I will update my review after a few weeks of using this one. Customer service is very good.

[Update (Dec 9, 2019)] Still looking great. I placed one on my wife's Pro 11 Max. I did notice that the template that came with this one (I bought this kit before the 11 came out) does not quite line up. Tip for installing on an 11, make sure the screen is turned on and line the top up with the edge of the screen background. If you rely solely on the template it will be about .5 mm too low. This is very easy to do so I do not think this is cause for lowering the review. In fact, I have decided to increase my rating to 5 stars.

[I have left all my original comment in this review and have added updates over time as appropriate. Hopefully this does not make the review hard to read. I did this in case someone else has similar issues]

In the end I am very satisfied with this product.
