Professional Installation Required

This JuiceBox is configured for hardwired installation only, which means that a certified electrician will need to install and connect this unit to your home for permanent use. Please make sure your electrician installs the JuiceBox on an appropriately sized circuit with enough capacity to handle an additional 40 or 50 amps.

* If you prefer to take your JuiceBox with you to use on the go or you have an existing 240 volt outlet, a JuiceBox plug-in unit may be more appropriate for your needs.

* When hardwired, the size of the circuit breaker needs to be 125% of the rated, continuous load of the installed equipment.

* The included hardwire input cable is 3 feet long.

I don't have WI-FI available because the charger is outside and out of range for my wi-fi. hence, no comment on Alexa integration. Next, I had to have an electrician install it because I needed a 240 line out to my driveway, so no install opinions.
Finally, it worked and then after a month it did not. Called Juice Box, they knew what the problem was and I had a new box in 3 days. New box working fine. Communication with them was great and I have the e-mail of the person who helped me if I have any other problems.

I gave it a good review at first because I wanted to be positive, in spite of the complete PITA setup. It's a nightmare to connect to WiFi (and my router is about 10 feet away).
Now it's dead. I 'purchased' a 'refurbished' replacement ($200, to be refunded), as per their instructions. And what have I done after numerous calls, and emails... waited. I live about 25 miles from their offices / warehouse. And for 2 weeks they've sat on my money and have done nothing. They sent me a 'It's Shipped' notice two days ago, but guess what... it hasn't. The next call will be to the BBB, because I'm a wee bit tired of their ineptitude.
1) The unit is junk and died after a year... great workmanship and QC!!
2) Their customer service (nice people...) leaves quite a bit to be desired. They do not communicate adequately, have no clue what is going on (or if they do, they don't tell me).
3) I feel like I've been ripped off because I'm getting no responses to the fact that I paid $200 and have received nothing but frustration.

Do NOT buy this unit. There are others, you have choices...

DO NOT BUY!!! This product was recommended to me and so I didn't read the reviews. I can't tell you how much I regret that now. I had my unit hardwired and that cost $800. The unit is now defective and I'm going to have to have the hardwiring uninstalled for some unknown quantity of money, then they're going to send me a USED unit, (and the warranty will not start over again), and then I'm going to have to pay the electrician another $800 to install the new unit. If you notice from the reviews, the people who are giving it high ratings just got the unit. I probably would have done the same. But now it's a few months later and the unit is broken. I beg you to listen and not buy this unit. Your future self will thank you.

This thing likes to work at first, and then stops working randomly some nights. You’re supposed to be able to set it to charge overnight when rates are cheapest, but once in a while you’ll wake up to a nice surprise, an uncharged EV!
