Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

My before photo wasn't the best, but you can see the final result photo clearly. I believe I will have to buy again and try to remove more of the damage, as it's 70% better than before the repair. Could be the fact I did the repair when it was 55 degrees outside. Didn't want to wait until it warmed up more, as I didn't want to crack the windshield with the heat/cold + driving.
Pro tip, put a couple of layers of tape below the rock chip, so the filler solution doesn't run down the windshield.

Second thing they need to clarify is - squeeze the tube of resin into the suction funnel until it’s FULL. Then, wipe the funnel top.
Lastly, they could add that if you do happen to do this on a cloudy, rainy day (I did), you COULD use an ultraviolet torch or lamp to cure the resin. (I did).
Results weren’t great for me, as you can imagine. Even though I squeezed the tube, in light of instructions telling me I had to same some for later (just a silly drop) I ended up filling less resin. As a result, the crack is still visible.
Bad: The design of the tool leaves something to be desired. The tool is basically a hollow cup that you glue to the windshield surface around the damaged area, and a syringe that you first pull out to (apparently) pull air and moisture out of the crack, then push to inject the resin. The join between the cup and syringe wasn't very good. When I pulled on the syringe to put suction on the crack it didn't last long; it looked as though air was getting in through the cup-syringe join and bubbling through the substantial amount of resin the syringe had pulled from the cup. The resin pulled into the syringe introduced another problem, that being that the syringe is transparent, and the resin cures by exposure to light. After sitting in shade for the 10 minutes or so specified by the instructions, much of the resin in the syringe had hardened, making it very difficult to re-inject the stuff into the crack. I have to wonder if the repair would have been perfect if I'd been able to re-inject all of the resin. The syringe needs to be made opaque, and/or the instructions need to be changed to have you place a box or whatever over the tool during the "pull" phase to keep light away from the resin until it's completely in place.
Bottom line: It isn't perfect, but it worked well enough to where the damage is no longer obvious, and to where I'm no longer worried about the crack spreading. I'll use this kit next time, but I'll probably dab a little silicone around the syringe nozzle to seal it tight to the cup, and instead of "shady area" as the instructions say, I'll do that first phase in the garage with lights out to keep the resin from hardening before it's time. Four stars.

P.D. Desgraciadamente no tomé fotos del antes y después de mis reparaciones anteriores, pero ahora que estoy comprando el 4to para hacer otra reparación, intentaré recordar tomar fotos para subirlas.
After close to two years, the chip became visible again, but I'm willing to chalk it up to the glass being exposed to a wide variety of weather and temperature typical of Canadian summer and winters. If your vehicle is garaged, the repair will likely last significantly longer. It's unrealistic to expect the epoxy resin to be as strong or durable as glass. Overall the product is a great value, straightforward to use, and produced great results.
