Installed on my boat this past spring, used all summer. This thing is strong and stations come in clearly. Install is easy, but make sure you have some large drill bits (paddle bits) or a complete collection of hole saws. It needs a 7/8" bit (or hole saw), which in my experience is not a common one (I had a paddle bit set with 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 and 1" sizes, of course...). You might need an extension for the wire if you are installing it far form the stereo, but it should work for most applications as is. Antenna mast can be unscrewed and stowed so it doesn't mess with the boat cover.

ok, I was like $9 awesome.. I'll take it.. but then was like ok read the reviews.. and I of course go to the 1 stars first.. read things like didn't work.. looked flimsy.. cheap.. etc.. but then in looking around more.. $9 I'll take the shot.. so I ordered.. got next day.. I have a deck boat.. pretty much all fiberglass especially around the console.. I got a new head unit.. when I went to put it in I was like where the heck is the antenna.. didn't have one before.. so I got this one.. before antenna no reception.. now awesome.. and I didn't even have to top mount it.. I put it under the console right behind the radio.. and works fine.. thats all well and good for my area.. I'll test it out on the lake later this week and update.. but for $9 you can't go wrong..

I purchased this to replace a similar antenna that the previous owner had installed on my 81 Jeep. It installed nicely and easy enough since I already had a large hole in the cowl.

It's white so a little different but I think cool. Works well as far as I can tell as long as the screw doesn't freeze up like the last one did. Different brand but the center screw rusted and I had to drill it out.

I researched forever to find a replacement and it's not easy so I pulled the trigger on this vs waiting and I'm very happy I did. Check one more thing off the Jeep to do list.

The only reason for 4 stars is the rubber mast is a bit deformed and not straight but that is ok. Still a nice product. On a boat, I'm sure it would look right at place.

Reception is great, but the plastic parts (the base and the mast) started cracking after two years or so. When I replaced it, I noticed rust on the metal parts also, which was surprising since I would think that stainless steel would be used for a marine product. I bought another one, and since they are inexpensive I may just replace it every couple of years. I may try to look for a higher quality antenna and will pay more if I can find one with UV-resistant plastic and stainless steel that would last longer.

Very nice antenna for a Side x Side as it's a soft & very flexible rubber...great for those low overhanging tree branches! Flexes great when needed, yet doesn't flop around all over the place! Size is perfect & can be swivelled to any direction, even greater than 90° for close to body mounting. Seems to pick up stations just as good any vehicle antenna, if not better. Has rubber ring around base to seal hole when mounting on roof. Mounted at top rear of roof, so antenna is much higher than most vehicle antennas so reception is great!
