    This sprinkler shows up and it's about the size of my hand (a little bigger). Based on the reviews I was led to believe this thing was going to be pretty big since they were all raving about the sprinkler being able to soak within minutes. So, here I am feeling let down based on the size but figured I would test it out in the back yard. HOLY SMOKES. HOLE-LEE-SMOKES. This little thing is INCREDIBLE. It sprays like I have never seen a child's sprinkler spray. This little dinky thing is probably the best sprinkler for kids ever, and of course it is cute and a fire hydrant. How can you go wrong?! Do NOT be discouraged by it's size, this thing is going to provide so much entertainment and for the cost?! I am going to order a backup sprinkler just in case!EDIT: After two years, we replaced our original. This thing sat outside in the elements for two years before having to be replaced!

    However, for bigger kids, this sprinkler seems awesome. The water mists close to the sprinkler and also sprays up and out in all directions.

    We left it outside all summer and there was some discoloration from the sun. However, the sprinkler works again this year without any problems, so it's totally durable.

    Easy to connect with a rotating connector.

    The face on the sprinkler is a little creepy--looks kind of like a crazy clown. Other than that, I'm very happy with this sprinkler and hope the kids will be big enough for it by the end of the summer...they are 3 and 1.5 now.

    My 19 month old son has a blast with this fire hydrant! It can actually spray pretty high and when the water is turned up, it really gets spinning. It is the perfect size for him to run up to and try to get it in his mouth (which he absolutely loves to do). It sprays a good amount of water that he usually can not get close enough to knock it over or move it, because he gets too much water in his eyes. But that is actually a good thing because I do not usually want to run up to it to fix it and get wet myself. I have not had any problems with it tipping over on its own. It does put out a lot of water so we do not let it run too long and move it around to water the grass at the same time. It can get up to eight feet with our water pressure without a problem at all. Overall, this is a great water toy. It is very reasonably priced and my son loves it a ton. I will most certainly be getting our moneys worth. Would definitely recommend it.

    It is pretty little like the reviews said, but that's not a big deal to me, especially since it shoots so high into the air (we do have good water pressure though). It shoots up and also shoots water out the sides. Because it's so little my boys and their friends can jump over it, but I didn't feel like I could put it on the grass cause it was little and it seemed like it would tip over so I put it on the pavement/sidewalk and it worked great! My only complaint is that the water doesn't move around; it stays stationary. So that kind of sucks since I was looking for a sprinkler that moved around, but none of the other sprinklers had good reviews and seemed very cheaply made. Hopefully this one lasts us a while.

And it is pretty little... if you turn the hose on all the way the water actually sprays up pretty high but the sprinkler is bound to fall over sending everyone running to not get blasted. It is a funny thing to watch and the kids are getting wet anyway so no one minds too much. But it is not the sturdiest sprinkler, but a great gift for a low price! Also, the eyes and mouth are only stickers that were falling off from the time I opened the box and only got worse with the water.
