Sustainability in materials, production and packaging

All of the timber used in our games is sourced from PEFC Certified forests. That means for every tree harvested, more trees are planted; sustainable forestry practices are used. In addition, HABA sources timber from within a 150 km radius to limit the amount of fuel emitted from the trucks and to help local/regional sources. When shipping our products, we use the most ecologically sound and recyclable packaging material possible - and only as much as we really need. In the packaging process in particular we look for ways to avoid plastic packaging as much as possible. You will find paper bags securing components in many of our toys and games.

Only solvent-free varnishes and water-based stains are used .

The My Very First Games series by HABA combines play fun and early development

Depending on the game, the degree of difficulty increases or a number of variations are included. Thus, My Very First Games stimulate children over and over again by setting appropriate challenges for their age, fostering their early development, holding their interest for a long time and, above all, being a lot of fun.

  • Games feature large pieces that are easy for children to grasp and manipulate.
  • Foster basic skills: color recognition, quantities, gross and fine motor skills, memory, problem-solving, and social interactions.
  • High quality, long-lasting components can be used in independent play and saved for the next generation of gamers.

Good for 2 year olds
*Tested with a two-year-old.Very easy to set up and keep organized. (The toy dresser prop holds all the pieces inside.) This is one of the first games I’ve tried with my daughter. She doesn’t understand the concept yet, but the square game pieces are great for vocabulary development. They are smaller than expected (less than 2”, which is small for toddler hands), but should last quite a while due to construction (thick cardboard).Overall a nice game for a small toddler to begin learning about rules and directions.

This game is adorable and a highly recommended game for kiddos! A wonderful first time game. It encourages fine motor skills development, color learning, and, of course maybe even encourage them to clean up naturally outside the game! (A mom can dream!)😉

Seems like a cute game; haven’t opened yet. Got as a Christmas gift for our 20 month old son. It’s a matching game so you can include your child in family board game night.

Confusing pictures that don't really go anywhere, even for a parent or grandparent. There are better games! Don't recommend this one.
