Hyunah Kim is a GOLD MEDAL WINNER of GLOBAL BOOK AWARDS 2024 for Contemporary Fiction for Rise to the Horizon. And her debut novel Dammi Mille Baci has also won SILVER MEDAL for Contemporary Romance of GLOBAL BOOK AWARDS 2024. She is a well-traveled artist with a background in English literature. She initially graduated from a university in Seoul and then embarked on a journey across Europe, where she pursued her passion for fashion and became a makeup artist and a stylist in Paris. Afterwards, she moved to Munich, and to Vienna, where she met the artist painter Axel, who served as inspiration for her debut novel “Dammi Mille Baci. Her journey constantly kept her moving from Europe, back to Korea, then to Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong. In the summer of 2019, she moved to Antibes, in the French Riviera, in the beautiful Côte d'Azur and settled down where she enjoys a seaside lifestyle. She has a deep love for animals, particularly sea turtles and horses, and has a talent for playing the classical piano and indulging in various artistic endeavours. Her second book “Rise to the Horizon” has been all time Amazon Best Seller, hitting #1 in Horse Showing and Training, Equestrian Sports, Horse Care, Horse Sports, and Equestrian fiction for more than 100 days since April 2024.     Although I didn't read book one before picking up "Ultra Mortem in Aeternum" by Hyunah Kim, the cover and summary intrigued me enough to start book two of the Vienna Calling series. I was able to understand the plot, but it would have been more impactful, I think, had I read the first installment of this romance story. Hyunah has, presumably in the last book, fallen in love with Axel in Vienna, but run away to Paris to get past her broken heart. When she must return to Austria — and Axel — their love story continues. Hyunah finds out that much of what she thought was deception was based on lies. Should she give Axel a second chance, or will it mean another heartbreak?
