Our 12 year old grandson has been asking for a tree house and we thought it would be fun to add a zip line. After building the tree house and installing the zip line, our grandson said " I have wanted this for so long...I thought it would never happen". COVID-19, remote learning and too many rainy weekends that delayed construction made an active 12 year old boy feeling that his birthday, void of a party with friends, was just another day. This zip line has been so much fun and has kept him active for hours!
If you have the space the kids won’t get off it! They love it! Minimum 2 person install. Had it up and running in about hour and half. Great product with quality parts.
Pros: - Love that the sled is removable so you can pull it off and bring it inside when the weather’s bad - Super easy to install (installed myself using a cheap ratchet strap to stretch — you do not need the stretch tool). A ton of videos on YouTube showing how to stretch with a ratchet strap. - Feels high enough quality to last a few years — and it’s cheap enough that you won’t feel bad replacing it if the winter kills it. - Comes with a stretchy line on the stop block so you can slingshot your kids back up to the starting point for hours of back-and-forth fun. The stop block is really designed to pull a rider back to the starting point, so it’s only a brake when someone is holding on to the line.
Cons: - You’re gonna need to buy some additional things to make this work. - This does not come with a spring brake for the end which means a fast rider will likely stop by hitting the first line clamp (bad for the line) or the tree on the end (bad for the rider). They sell the springs separately. Worth it. - The instructions warn to only use trees larger than 118” in diameter and to wrap the line around twice — yet, the rubber tree protection sleeve is only 24”. So go buy a cheap garden hose to cut up and slide over the line. That’s so you don’t cut into the tree when tightening.

easy to set up. really well made. my kids enjoy it for hours. I would recommend block screwed into the tree or post behind the cable to keep it from sliding down if it loosens. Great product.
I bought this for my son's 13th Birthday and has exceeded expectations! He uses it everyday and so does my 11 year old son. I wish it had some kind of a safety belt but so far hasn't been an issue.
