The features of the gimbal allow you to never have to touch the screen to make any adjustments as it has control for zoom and focus through the wheel on the side. There is also a scroll wheel that will control all of your shooting adjustments like ISO, exposure, display. There is a Mode button to switch from modes lock, pan follow, full follow, POV, Vertical mode that can spin the gimbal in 360. It also indicates battery level.
One of the best things they added that comes with the combo kit is a magnetic fill light that can be controlled from the center button of the wheel. It comes with several color filters and several different attachment points.
You can can also access your library from the wheel and see what you have just filmed. There is a dedicated record button that will start recording. Double pressing that button will toggle from front and rear cameras. The function button can be customized through the app.
Charging is done through USB-C which is included. The gimbal can also act as a power bank for the phone but will need a right angle usb-c to what ever your phone uses to charge.
The combo kit comes with a case and the magnetic fill light and tripod for the gimbal and I recommend getting this instead of just the gimbal.
Materiels used are high quality aluminum and more compact in size than the previous model. It feel good in your hand and the control are within easy reach when holding the gimbal.
The only down side is that you can’t go from landscape to vertical with the use of the motors it has to be done manually due to the design of where the motors are. They are placed in a better position for balancing purposes and so they are always out of the way when shooting. I think it is a good sacrifice they had to make so you can rotate the phone 360 without any obstructions.
Overall this is the best mobile gimbal our on the market. It has many features and although it is a little more expensive you get what you pay for and in this case it is well worth the extra that you are paying. I couldn’t recommend this gimbal more.
